BOND bosses have given Daniel Craig a licence to thrill his growing gay fanbase by introducing a male love interest.

The blond 007’s camp admirers have eclipsed his female following ever since his saucy pink flick Infamous premiered at the Venice Film Festival.

Daniel, 38, plays killer Perry Smith in the movie, which sees him ditching Bond babes to lock lips with Toby Jones, also 38, who plays gay author Truman Capote.

And even straight Toby admitted he was in 00 Heaven when Daniel treated him to a smooch. He confessed: "I’d never dreamed I would kiss James Bond. Now I’ve done it, I hope I’m the first of many men.

"It was fantastic to work with Daniel because as an English actor there’s a kind of humour that goes with those scenes. It was slightly abrasive but ultimately rewarding. And neither of us are gay."

That may be true of Daniel, who is dating foxy producer Satsuki Mitchell, 29, but the same can’t be said for the ultimate swordsman Bond.

That’s because movie bosses plan to capitalise on his gay icon status by introducing a homoerotic relationship between Bond and secret agent Felix Leiter.

Jeffrey Wright, 40, plays CIA agent Leiter. And in Bond 22, the follow-up to Casino Royale, writers plan to spice up their relationship by creating sexual tensions between their characters.

Our man with the Golden Gun said: "Bond will always be a hit with the ladies. But Daniel has a massive gay fanbase and that can’t be ignored.

"There will still be sexy Bond Girls. But the modern Bond will be more sensitive."

Daniel admits he would Never Say Never to a gay Bond, because there is a big demand for it: "I was out recently and all these gay guys were all over me like a rash.

"But they never ask about the Bond plot. I hope they like it."
We suspect they will be both shaken and stirred.

If this is true & if MGM were smart & they decide to turn Bond gay they should save that announcement for after Casino Royals DVD release. That way the Sequel will fail & not this one. It would be a good comparison / test especially Box Office wise. Nothing against gays but this is just one of those changes that is highly unnecessary & should NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY it just would not be the James Bond we all know & love

Hey guys, I have an idea. Let's fire Hugh Jackman from playing Wolverine since he played a gay man that died of AIDS on Broadway. Surely Hugh Jackman playing a gay man means he can't play Wolverine ever again.

This is how pathetic the level of Craig-bashing has sunk to. And apparently an actor kissing another guy in a movie means Craig is open to James Bond being gay, even though Craig has said or done nothing to actually indicate that. Even if those quotes are real (no actual link to this dumb article, not surprisingly) they could be taken out of context.

That's wrong. CASINO ROYALE's Bond is a coldhearted sonofagun in terms of his dealings with women.

I don't think this line is at all sensitive: "I've found that the only person you want really close to you is someone you can use as a shield. She's so tiny the bullets would pass right through her. Last thing one needs is a woman hanging on your gun arm."
