Daniel Radcliffe is Weird Al Yankovic

I'm loving Daniel Radcliffe's career choices post HP. He could easily have gone down the romantic lead route in fluffy movies due to all the fan adoration, but he clearly just focuses on having the best time and picking odd ball rolls that suit him as a person. Somehow makes me like him more.

I am looking forward to seeing this.

It's only streaming on the Roku channel? Might as well release it exclusively on a Viewmaster. :o

All joking aside, if I get the opportunity to check this out, I will. I like Weird Al and I like Radcliffe.

This looks like if you put a bunch of Weird Al albums, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox story and an episode of Drunk History in a blender which funny enough is entirely on brand for Weird Al and is totally the point of the movie. A biopic of Weird Al should absolutely come across as a parody since that's his whole schtick.

Well, Evan Rachel Wood certainly transformed there. Looks like a fun watch.

Did Weird Al and Madonna really have a thing back in the day? I never knew that. Either way, this looks awesome.

I thought the same thing while watching it and then Googled it before I realized that the trailer fooled the hell out of me. The movie is doing its job lol

Ah okay, I get it now. In true Weird Al fashion, his life story would have to be a parody of the musician biopic genre. Excellent.

Also, does anyone know if Radcliffe did the singing? I know he learned the accordion but I couldn’t find any definitive info on whether he sings in the movie too. If so, he sounds just like Al. I assume Evan does her own singing as Madonna, just based on this brilliance (skip ahead to 6:30 so you don’t have to endure Jimmy Fallon):

I think it was Al doing the singing.

Yeah, probably was him because it definitely sounded like him.

Confession time, 80% of the music I have on my playlist consist of Weird Al songs, including but not limited to Fat, Eat It, White and Nerdy, Yoda, Amish Paradise, and more!

Anyway, this looks great!

Reminds me of Walk Hard.

This is what every biography should strive to be, full of facts and truth without sugar coating anything. Ideally this movie would win all the awards, Tony’s, Emmys, Golden Globes, Oscars, Grammys, Espys… All of them. This is a monumental achievement in art.
