Daredevil: The Game...

Not that the GTA missions are too lousy, but I usually spend most of my time trying to steal a nice motorcycle and kill as many people as possible, instead of beating the game or anything.

That video clip looked very promising. And it looked pretty far along as far as development. I wonder how close to being complete it was when they pulled the plug.

The Daredevil game was canceled because the development company, Encore software, went out of business and lost all of its funding.

The game really wasn't finished at the time that video was released, plus it was going to be released in February of 2004 so it wouldn't have been anywhere near as graphically advanced as we would expect now. However, it was going to be released a couple of months before Spider-Man 2, which would have made it the fist super-hero free roaming game.

In a perfect world, I'd like to see them release an immersive, well developed, and comic-based Daredevil game because the character is, arguably, more interesting than Spider-Man who has, for some reason, been treated as a messiah of comic heroes.

I'd love to see a daredevil game. I just saw a demo of an upcoming game, Prototype. If they could use some mechanics like that, then it would be great. The seeing of Prototype is actually in New York. I'd even be cool with the same company making a DD game and just putting DD and related characters in the same environment. Well I'd want more than just that, but still it would be great to see DD finally get a game.
