The Netflix series has really shown how great a daredevil game could be.

The interesting thing would be how they portray daredevil's blindness in a video game. Fasinating. Plus they can use the actors from the Netflix series.

What do you think? Just no dreadful pay to play iOS temple run type games like marvel has been doing lately

I'm not sure it could work with the blindness - how would you work that? Unless you had a permanent detective vision type thing, it'd be weird. You'd either have to ignore it or make a really visually odd game

Unfortunately this could be said for all the Marvel characters.

But they don't seem to want to bother.

I think Avengers needs to be done first. DD has the blindness and it would be very similar to the Arkham series.

It'd be too similar to the Arkham games and lack any of the cool toys that Batman has. But I guess Daredevil's senses could be a substitute for the toys. The world on fire would be his X-ray vision, you could track people by listening to their heart beats, watches, walkie-talkies, follow smells, maybe have an interrogation mini game where you can tell if people lie.

I envision it being similar to Arkham as well. They'd have to really add something to differentiate it.

I suggested this a while back on the Spider Boards Marvel Lounge. Yes. So much yes. I've been playing Lego Marvel as Dardevil nonstop and I can only imagine how much better an entire non lego realistic Arkham fighting style Daredevil centered game based on the Netflix series would be,

Nah man, it's not like the movie and the show kept the blind view all the time.
Even the comics did not keep blind view active the whole time.

Well if an action game is too similar to the Arkham games, they could do a Telltale game. There are a lot of talking heads in the TV series, so it could fit.

Anyone remember the test footage from around 2002ish for that DD game that was eventually cancelled? That actually seemed like it would have been pretty awesome.

I just want another X-Men legends/Marvel Alliance type game.

I think it could work as a brawler, similar to that Download only Watchmen game. If they gave it brawler fight mechanics, Prince of Persia styled acrobatics, radar "Detective" vision, and an LA noir styled lie detector thing as Matt Murdock, it could work I guess.

If they could figure out how to do a DD gane without ripping off arkham then im all for it. Otherwise i could see him being in another team style rpg or a fighting game.

I would love to see DD get his own game. I'm not interested in seeing another Legends/Ultimate Alliance style game and would want to see him headline a game and not just a guy on the roster.

they should make a 3d final fight street of rage thing

that way they can have characters like Moon knight or the other Marvel knight's characters also play up that DD is a walking crime Lab, lie detector for game play when he questions some he can tell their lying withtheir heart beat he can see through their disguise's (thank to his radar sense) his see of smell to track people next to his radar sense there are tone of pet games like Nintendo dog's that show you using playable animal with the sense of smell where you can see the scents as game play & it's better they actually ever smelling it for real no want really wants "smell o vision" where we actually smell stuff for real via game play.

we should be in dd's radar sense mode via the first person mode out look when seeking a suspect out or i alert mode . but when looking at him when he doesn't need to track something or someone down or need's to identify someone or use it for alerting him self of a trap. let us see him as a normal person would in third person mode

First of all, whats wrong with being "too similar" to the Arkham series? It is the gold standard.

Also remember the Captain America game was also similar to Arkham and was FANTASTIC for it.

There was a daredevil game being developed in the early 2000s yea, and it looked great, but was cancelled. It only managed to be released for the Gameboy Advance, which was actually a great sidescroller. Check it out if you want a DD game fix.

I'll second wanting a new Ultimate Alliance. Daredevil was always my first or second choice in those games.

there too many people(with a limited knowledge of Gaming )that like to claim rip off like those that think God of war started the series for hack & slasher games genre & other that fallow crowd too easily when they see some like that who makes a statement like that.

which you'll always find some random poster say in a comments section or forum, some people here feel it'll be looked upon like this & rather avoid moron's that will do that & who'd get others to potentially write it off for that reason. Let's face it there are alot of people who do these thing's often.

With DD even though the Arkham games style would fit perfectly with even more so the captain America . if they make it unique enough but still similar to Arkham it'll be fine. Sleeping dog's is a loved game for that very reason.

They made a game of their own ran with it with this thinking with their own idea's for use. So there shouldn't be a problem. just be creative with it if your actually skilled in making such a game . if you can add something new like co-op cooperative attacks which will up your combo with out it being ruined, try it too.

People are always looking for new experience's with gaming as well. but make sure it's polished

Yea totally. Its funny you mention God of War inventing Hack n Slash, because that drives me up a wall! Haha.

For me, in the end, if its a good game, its a good game, and thats all that matters. Thats all that should matter. If we had a list of every game that "ripped off" another game, well guess what, you would have almost every game ever made haha.

Daredevil fits the "Arkham" mold perfectly. you could potentially ditch the Metriod aspect to it and bring in different gameplay elements that the Batman games don't utilize. Shadows of Mordor did a great job with the formula and a great game is a great game.

Daredevil could be a nonlinear game aswell, being a lawyer and working cases during the day to determine what path of crime you take down. It could all be connected to something bigger but I want a game that makes you feel like your genuinely fighting street level crime, and you decide how to go about it. If you fail, then you fail and must live with it. Be it a rape, kidnapping, murder, robbery… The small things have to have a big impact on your emotional level while playing.

A Daredevil game is an outlet to bring out the "anti-GTA" gameplay and the burden you carry preventing crime, instead of running around causing it. The Spider-Man games (while good) have failed at this so many times because they are afraid to go there and do it properly. Daredevil should be rated M right out of the gate, and have no limits, thats for sure haha.

yeah every time I saw that from some in places like game trails ether i their comment's sectio or forum I so want to slap the fool that did this god war rip off in a DMC game section the place where they were corrected even by the host's of the shows site where the ep forums which victor Lucas own runs he did it nicely but you can tell Vic was saying WTF is wrong with you? "it didn't invent the genre nore did it truly innovate it " was fun but saying that is taking it too far & you really need to expand you library of games & knowledge if that's all there is for ya.

Especially if what your trying to write off came befor god of war. then you really have o right to speak.

yeah I can see that most of the case's DD has i court he ca do as DD if he felt it wasn't helping his town or innocent all of his case would some what related to case's he worked on & when he can't investigate him self that when he hires Luke cage ad iron fist & his wife (she is a detective as her day job) you can add in moon knight . even have a captain America cameo

There's alot you can play with there.

DD can mentor Cyclops, Spider man or night thrasher the latter of which is from the new warrior's He team up with Black widow or hell I like to see him team up with Diamond back lily.

I remember being really disappointed when they canceled this game.

I think a DD game would be amazing. Similar to the arkham games in combat and movement, but with a greater emphasis on a parkour mechanic, like Assassin's Creed, with some swinging thrown in. You could handle the senses like Detective Vision or the enhanced sense "vision" in the wolverine's revenge game that came out years ago.

Making a video game is difficult. Yeah they could make a decent game but I think we all want a great game.

I've been using him on MarvelHeroes the last few days. :D

You guys remember the Noir parts of Shattered Dimensions? Something like that would be great.

@Mr. T, he's the only character I use in Lego Marvel lately.

Yep well over due for a DD game. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of imagination from some of the post in this thread. "Too much like Arkham"?! So that means it won't be worth playing with a few tweaks? Thankfully game developers have more creativity than that.

I've always envisioned something along the lines of infamous or prototype with a sprinkle or Arkham. Prototype 2 also had a sonar sense that was very DD like.

What Marvel need to do is take the time developing potential game franchise and not just a cash in.

Eh not really sure how they could do the blindness for it. It's better if they did Spider-Man instead.

The blindness is honestly the least problematic bit. It would basically be Batman's X-ray vision, but just have its own unique look.
