When I was little I saw a few episodes here and there and always thought it was a cool show, and I have been going trough both seasons for the last few weeks and I gotta say it was a damn fine show.
A lot of stuff happening in season 2 and I was wondering if the people in charge, Cameron perhaps, ever came out with info to further explain Max's destiny and the breeding cult and all? Anyone know anything about this?

They did say what would happen in S3 but I dont remember what they said. All I remember is that I have extreme anger at FOX for picking this up for a 3rd season only to back out and cancel it so they could pick up Firefly. Because both couldnt co-exist due to budgets being high on both

No - there's no reboot. No revival. But there should be.

I'm currently rewatching the show and Season 1 still holds up and I LOVE IT. It was near perfection. Original Cindy is iconic. I forgot it took place in 2020 and how progressive it was. We had Reagan dating a transwoman and it not being an issue. We had OC talking about code-switching. Max defending sex workers. Life was good.
