Amazing.

The trailer was pretty awesome, but I definitely loved the news segment. It was pretty realistic.

does anybody know a working link to the Mike Engel video? that first post should be updated if there is one

Can anyone please upload Field Test to youtube please.

Hmm, I didn't know the whole "love bunny" thing would cause such a fuss :oldrazz:

he doesnt say love bunny...he says ill settle for his loved one.. what i DISLIKE..is that every trailer shares footage...but it changes the audio everytime...i dont get why they keep changing the audio....why not just use the movies final audio clips..cuz now where all like i love this line i dont like the way its delivered in this trailer etc...i dont wanna be bummed out to hear amazing deliverys and then in the theater see it delivered in a way that isnt as impactful....but i trust nolan will make the right choices where theres alot of heart and feeling behind the lines

I dont know if anyones pointed this out but I noticed joker delevers the line, "and im gonna give it to em!" differently than the last trailer. And personally, I like it more

Let's get a few things straight about the new trailer:

Joker says: "I'll settle for his loved one."
This is clear if you remove the ear wax from your aural canals. Joker is zeroing in on Rachel - she's Dent's LOVED ONE.

Also, a lot of people have been saying the Joker line "When the chips are down, these civilized people will eat each other" is similar to Ras Al Ghul's line, "Then watch the city tear itself apart through fear."

These lines are NOT similar, and they also have completely different meanings.

The Joker is referring to his master plan; If people, even civilized, up-standing citizens are faced with a life or death situation, they will not hesitate to take other lives in order to save themselves. That Joker line reminded me of people who were stranded and lost on a mountain climb, and left with no food, etc. they actually ate one of their fellow mountain climbers.

It also reminds me of the scene in 'War of the Worlds' where people smash their fists into the windscreen of someone's moving car to get inside. They want the car to flee from danger, so they could care less about the lives of the people who own the car.

The Joker's line is disturbing...but true in a way. Human beings, at the core, are ruthless animals. And the Joker wants to prove this point.

Ras Al Ghul's line is not similar at all. "Watch the city tear itself apart through fear" He's merely referring to what's gonna happen after he releases the fear toxin into the air. Ras Al Ghul is quite logical, in fact. He wants to bring Gotham down because of its corruption, and he utilizes Jonathan Crane's fear toxin. This line is in no way, shape, or form like the Joker's.

Exactly, the sentiment behind Joker's line is much more compelling to me because of the ring of truth. So hopefully they don't bail on the idea when it comes to the 2 boats

i love the dif voices heath does it really show how the joker has split personalitys:hoboj:

This happens all the time. As the movie reaches final cut, trailers change with the updates. You can notice in a lot of movies that scenes from trailers are either cut from the film or that the dialog is completely different because a different take was used instead.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I actually like the new delivery on this line more. He sounds just right out pissed off. And on a side note it also looks like the the joker is gonna put up a bit of a fight in the interrogation room scene. In this new trailer it seems like he's pushing back against batman. And batman get's his new suit before the tumbler get's destroyed which I thought those two moments went hand in hand.

Exactly. The film makers basically have a library of footage (different takes, angles, etc. also different lines/delivery of lines) to choose from. Whatever you see in the final film is what Chris Nolan has decided to be the best of the bunch. So don't go on what you see in the trailers because the final cut could be something entirely different.

Are people seriously arguing if it's "loved one" or "loved ones?"

I'm gonna try to upload some better quality footage on youtube later today.

Dont bother, it'll just kill the "better quality". Just upload the original file to something like MediaFire.com or MegaUpload.com :)

I think a lot of people are bridging the gap after Joker says loved one - Some people wanna watch the world burn by alfred. I think they're connecting Alfred's S , and thinking it's loved on(e-S)ome people...
