Darksiders 2

I dont get why having the physical disc is better if you're paying the same amount

It isn't. And aside from the convenience factor, an all-digital future would introduce a lot more variation in pricing which would largely get rid of this idiotic need for all games to be $60.

You see a brand new game for $20 on a store shelf and you think, "What's wrong with it?", whereas you see a brand new game for the same price on Steam and you think it's a great deal, or it at least piques your interest.

See, the difference there is for the PSP Go you had to buy a whole new handheld device, right? Do you need a new xbox to download games on demand? No... Do you need to leave your house to buy games? No. Is that convenient? Yes. Is there a precedent in the consumer market that people are willing to pay full price for something if it means convenience of delivery? Yes.

If you guys want to waste your money by paying full price just so you don't have to move your fat ass to go buy the game, that's your problem. Have fun with that.

I'd wager we probably will... I mean, I basically pay full price for most games anyway, since I can afford it, usually only buy the kind of games I'd want day one anyway and I'm not a tight ass.

Also, there are plenty of Games on Demand games that are cheaper than pre-owned anyway so I don't see your point. I bought Mass Effect for 12 dollars Australian a month ago, and now I can download that on any xbox I own or a friend or family member owns.

But that's a bad thing because.....?

You're in Australia where games are pretty overpriced. It's a lot different in the US. After a month or two, you can get a game for $40 or $30 compared to $60.

If I had the choice of buying a game for $60 but having to download it (which takes hours and GB of HDD space) versus buying the disc at the store for $20-30 less and conserving the HDD space, I'll take the latter. I'm a cheapass when it comes to games. I can afford to buy games at full price whenever I want but why spend money you don't have to?

I'll always take the physical media because you have indisputable proof of ownership. If your Live account gets closed, you can sell those games. If your Steam account gets closed, you're SOL.

Name-calling. Lovely. :yay:

A surefire sign of a winning argument.
It wasn't name calling.

Darksiders II’s New RPG Elements Lets You Customize Your Own Death

The first Darksiders won a loyal following of fans for its badass remix of the Legend of Zelda’s dungeon-crawling gameplay. But you couldn’t really differentiate the way that main character War played. He was a bruiser with weapons that worked the same way for everyone. But Death will be more individualized, once players get their hands on the new lead character.

Game has been pushed back to August. My wallet just gave me a sigh of relief.

Probably distancing it from Diablo 3. I may hold off until the WiiU version is out just to see how that looks.

Normally i'd be annoyed about a game delay but there have been so many games released lately with some awful day one bugs in them, I would much prefer to have the most polished product possible on launch.

Darksiders 2: Death in the shadow of the colossus

Darksiders 2's Death is apparently not good at the maths. A man runs at 10MPH. A horse can trot at 30MPH. A colossus lumbers along faster than both. Don't kill the colossus, Death! Put out a picnic near the back of one of its shoulders and casually relax to your destination. ... Continue Reading

thought some one else would have put it up by now.

So, forgive me if this has already been discussed, but the other day I was in Gamestop and they were saying that they were selling this game for $20 right now as well as The Darkness 2.

I bought Darkness 2, but I admittedly had no idea wtf Darksiders 2 even was...and now I've learned it's not even out yet. So, what gives?

Are you asking about the game or why GameStop was selling it for $20?
