It's absurd that games need to sell 4-5 million copies to be considered successful and warrant sequels. The industry really needs to change their expectations. Not every game is a financial juggernaut like CoD has become.

I agree, and thankfully this AAA style of game development is completely unsustainable so it will come to an end sooner or later. It's already like that on PC, it's only a matter of time before consoles get there as well.

Watched a friend play Darksiders years ago, when it came out, but never really got into it myself. But everything about Darksiders 2 looks so good, I decided to get the first game on PC and I'm playing through that now. I even ordered the Collector's Edition of Darksiders 2.

Guess I'm going to have to re-buy Darksiders for PC at some point. I wonder what they'll do for the WiiU version to compensate.

hmm they'd have to re release it as a Game on their store like psn/ XBLA has done with most of their games like MGS or they'll have to do what Mass Effect has done. I'm leaning towards the former. when it 'll be done ? We'll have to see.

I love how they're plan for these games are very Avengers esque by having each game as a horseman than all of them together

some how I think they work better as a team then the avengers cause they knew each other already and aren't diva's as the actors called the avengers them selves. lol

I hope by the time they come all together, they add co-op or a separate MP Mode. Imagine taking on the armies of Heaven and Hell, with 3 friends. It would be a glorious battle.

Let's hope it meets THQ's money demand then, other wise they'll pull the plug on it ever happening, as they stated already which is on the first page second to last post. Damn publishers their high demands.

Well, the Collector's Edition in Germany, Switzerland and Austria is completely sold out. And because I've just been sitting on my ass, I had to order the Collector's Edition off ebay. And Collector's Editions are never cheap on ebay.

Anyway, I think they are definitely making money through Darksiders 2. One review I read praised it and it scored 93/100.

Darksiders is one of the best games of this generation. It does absolutely NOTHING new but everything it does it does GREAT. The Portal gameplay stuff near the end makes it a bit unbalanced but I loved the game. The sequel is looking to be amazing.
