Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced The Social Network for Blu-ray release on January 11, 2011. This movie about the creation of Facebook, directed by David Fincher, has earned wide critical acclaim and has just earned six Golden Globe nominations, including Best Drama. Enthusiasts who complained that this movie was not getting a special release by Criterion need not worry, as this BD will come in a 2-disc edition, with over three hours of bonus content.

Special features include:
-Two audio commentaries:
David Fincher
Writer Aaron Sorkin and cast
-How Did They Ever Make a Movie of Facebook?: a feature-length documentary in four parts
-David Fincher and Jeff Cronenweth on the Visuals
-Angus Wall, Kirk Baxter and Ren Klyce on Post
-Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and David Fincher on the Score
-Ruby Skye VIP Room: Multi-Angle Scene Breakdown
-In the Hall of the Mountain King: Reznor's First Draft
-Swarmatron

Can't wait to listen to the commentaries. I'm also really digging the cover art. :awesome:

lol Im not digging the Blu Ray art but Im just glad to bring the film home

They should've made the cover look like a Facebook profile page.

In a way I really like it...but they could have done so many cooler things instead...

I think that cover's fine.

Four posts, each describing the cover as "fine."

:awesome:

Fine Boom, if that's the case, I think it's time to come back in on the other side and offset a bit. :o ;)

Personally not a big fan of the cover. I appreciate that they tried to do something different, and it is quite different, but it would have been nice to see something a bit more creative. Or, I would have actually preferred the film's main poster, perhaps without the words and just Jesse's face. Not really digging how much focus is on the reviews either. I normally don't even like when a single review is placed on the bottom of a cover, let alone five that take up nearly half the layout.

But whatever. Not a big deal. I'm sure it'll look fine on my shelf.

seewatididthar? :woot:

I dont think its horrible, just not digging it that

I wouldve liked something with more of the characters or idk something else

It's almost as if they don't think people will buy it once it hits stores, so they had to fill half the cover with the awesome reviews. Lol.

What a god-awful cover. I hope they don't try to use that to market it to the general audience.

This movie is going to bomb.
