I didn't like I Heart Huckabees at all. :ninja:

I liked Silver Linings more than The Fighter. Both are super conventional stories that feel fresh because they are mostly well written and very well acted. My problem with the Fighter was an ill defined lead and the smaltz was bordering on parody at certain points. Adams and Bale were fantastic though and Leo was good. Mark was okay, he didn't have a lot to work with.

Silver Linings ending was too rushed but I enjoyed it tremendously. In my opinion the movie was funny, heartbreaking, mostly well written, wonderfully directed and acted. I usually dislike movies like Silver Linings so I was just as surprised at anyone that I loved it.

Nothing wrong with anyone not agreeing with me though, just saying my peace. I liked The Fighter but the reason that I'm so excited for American Hustle is because of the director's last film.

It seems like "Butt Bongos" has become a hit already.

Heys, me likes the Silver Linings!
I liked it too, but I felt like many directors could have/would have made it the same way. Usually I find Russell's style/tone to be more distinctive. Three Kings is still his best film to me by far.

I think Russell was burnt out by the drama behind 'I Heart Huckabees' and 'Nailed' that he's sticking to more 'conventional movies. Sadly.

Agreed, but this trailer has me hopeful. I feel like I see his personality coming back through a little bit.

This was awesome. :lmao:

I think this is my favorite:

:hehe: that's great. Hawkeye's got moves!

That makes me wanna jump into my monitor and dance with them.

Cooper looks like he doesn't know the steps and wants to copy Renner. :hehe:

lol Bale dancing like an old man. :funny:

:funny: I'd watch this movie even if it was just 2 hours of that dance scene.

And the best part? both are already Oscar contenders. lol

That kid really knows how to party.

I bet later that night he pounded a Red Bull, did a few lines of coke and punched Lindsay Lohan in the face....

I'd watch that biopic. :o

This just moved up next to Wolf of Wall Street as my most anticipated movie of the year.

Yes, it does look a little like Oscar bait...but it looks like so much fun and the performances look fantastic. I cannot wait.

I don't think it looks like Oscar bait, it just has an Oscar-friendly cast and director.

It looks much too fun to be textbook Oscar-bait.

Between these two and The Great Gatsby and probably others I'm forgetting the major movie trend this years seems to be excess. Rich people behaving badly.

The little dance number is my most anticipated scene from the film now.
