Plus, I got to make out with Christian Bale.”

I am as well. I would say I can't wait to see reviews but I don't really care what the critics think of the film I'm seeing it anyway. Russell is a terrific actors director and a good director over all. And the cast is amazing.

Yeah, this is easily my most anticipated movie of the "Oscar Bait" season. It looks fantastic and you can't beat that cast. I think this is the movie that will land Bale that Best Actor Oscar, although he looks like he's amazing in Out of the Furnace as well.

I don't know I've been frequenting those Oscar sites and the competition looks tough. But I definitely wouldn't count out a Russell film when it comes to acting noms. The Fighter had three and SLP had four noms so it would be dumb to count out AH. I love Bale but who I'm really rooting for is Amy Adams because she hasn't won before.

Ejiofor, Redford, McConaughey(Dallas Buyers). Im bettering Ejiofor for the win.

Ah, okay. Well, Twelve Years a Slave does look powerful and Ejiofer is fantastic so I'd be happy to see him win too. Redford has enough accolades, IMO. McConaughey has been killing it lately, so I'd be okay with him too.

Yeah, in a weaker year, Bale could've been a shoo-in with either this or Out of the Furnace (Kris Tapley said Bale gave a "career best" and a very nuanced performance in that one) but with how strong this year is for Lead Actors, I'm not counting on him getting in.

As for Amy, I think she has a much better shot of winning if she's campaigned in Supporting. It would be much cooler though for her to win in Lead given how she's also in Supporting.

'American Hustle' and 'Out of the Furnace' are the last 2 movies of 2013 I'm looking forward to seeing.
