****snacks? Dammit, Maooz. Now you've aroused my appetite! :DV:

(There's a giant banana under that hat tho')

Whatever floats your boat, my man. Plus, I was referencing Archer. :ninja:

Anyways though, I was actually referring to this odd ending:

Apparently some reviews will be online tomorrow. I want to read them but I don't want to spoil anything. Usually I'm good with spoilers but I don't want to know with this one.

Not into Ape-raham Licoln? Pfft... your loss, guy. :o

No surprise that this seems to be an amazing movie really, Fox has really got their **** together the last few years and produced some great movies. Plus Reeves is an awesome director.

Yes I love Wyatt's work so I was concerned when he decided not to make DAWN. But i had some faith with Reeves as he had made a more than respectable remake of a classic and a pretty good monster movie.

I read just enough of the VARIETY review to see they said its fantastic.

Nonsensical as that ending was, that's a cool image.

Yeah, it's a pretty cool image. There were other endings proposed too, like Wahlberg's ship crash landing at Yankees Stadium only to witness monkeys playing baseball. That would have been an image!

Hollywood Reporter said this is the Empire Strikes Back for Apes. I CANT WAIT.

Reading the Deadline comments section about Transformers...people seem to think that this movie will have a bigger opening weekend than Transformers...one guy predicted up to $150 million. I don't see that happening.

However, I just want a good movie, and it appears that we are getting a darn good one!

The only film I see opening with 150mil this year is Mockingjay: Part 1 but I see Apes doing well. It looks fabulous and I can't wait to see it.

I'm saving the money that i would have spent of TF this weekend and waiting on this.

I'm pretty proud of myself this year. I've managed to restrain myself and not run out and view every so called block-buster this year and have budgeted my money. ASM2 is the only one that got me, but the rest of my decisions (seeing DOFP and skipping Godzilla) seemed to have been sound decisions on my part.

Man, reading some of the early reviews there's a real Dark Knight vibe about this film.

Ya saw the one rotten on it at RT...and the guy that did not like it is the one guy that gave Jack and Jill a positive review, as well as The Smurfs 2.

...... Armond White, I assume? :o

Surprisingly no. John Hazelton, never heard of him before until now. But he's quite the "contrarian" when it comes to film. So ya maybe a Armond White in the making.

I shall avoid the reviews, but glad to know it's positive.

Can I admit something? Even though I'm an Apes fan (casual, anyway) I still haven't seen Rise. I just... never got around to it, I guess. I will before this one comes out, though.

Also, the only two shots I've seen from this movie have been Clarke yelling that he wants to speak to Caesar and the following shot of the Apes in the trees. That's it. That's all I know about the movie other than it's getting very good reviews.

I don't think I've ever gone into a movie this blind, and it's very exciting.

I liked Rise well enough though I wasn't gaga over it as a lot of internet geeks I've talked to are. Something about the speedy/easy fix of a magic virus that does all the heavy plot lifting rather than the long, long way the original series said the switch from humans to apes happened(which lends A LOT towards the believability of the premise) always held the film back for me.

THIS FILM however, I expect much better thing from since Reeves's last 2 films I thought were great and I loved them. He's the main reason I'm excited for this movie.
