Nah this has nothing to do with that. There are troll critics, that want click bait. So they will say the opposite just to get a rise out of people, and get them to click on their article. I won't click on them however. But some just go against the grain for the sake of doing so rather than giving an actual opinion on it. Not all do this, but the guy that gives Jack and Jill a good review will raise eyebrows for me.

Robert Cargill (aka Massawyrm on AICN) admitted he did a couple of bullsh** click bait reviews on purpose just to see people's reaction to it. Read his Happy Feet review...it's pretty hilarious.

Agreed. I saw someone who said that they thought the latest Transformers was the best summer movie, he enjoyed it immensely and was labelled a troll for daring to place it above others.

If the guy enjoyed the film that much then just let him I say. The critics have liked certain films more than I have this summer. And I've really enjoyed those films just not in the same OMG best movie ever sort of way.

I hope I'm not building up Apes too much but I suspect it's going to be my favorite film of the Summer.

I might've had too much coffee but I'm feeling extra pumped for this. I am just spewing words from my mouth about it to a colleague who has zero interest for this or films in general. I finally snapped out of it, noticing the glazed expression of someone who's used to a hyper eggyman talking rubbish without the need of an interested ear. My nana's birthday is the day this is released. Two birdfs with one stone. Or two monkeys with one banana.

What is not to love about monkeys on horses? Sooner or later I'll shut up.

Very excited for this. It has been my most anticipated release of the summer. It seems it's living up to expectations.

I'd rather Lucasfilm pick him up for IX.

Damn, I'm really looking forward to this. I sometimes forget this is coming out which is a shame, yet when I remember I get giddy with anticipation. This looks like something truly great. Blockbuster movies have been much better than last year so hopefully this joins Cap, DOFP, and Edge of Tomorrow for me.

Well after these reviews and seeing the latest trailer, I'm definitely seeing this in D-BOX on opening weekend. They always elevate the movies to an even better experience.

I'm sure after opening weekend Disney will announce he's directing the 17th Star Ways spin-off!


Fox has him signed on already for the next one, and like Matthew Vaughn, they're probably going to want to keep him at the studio for as long as they can.

Watched Rise again last night. Such a fantastic film. So happy to see this is getting great reactions so far. Love the Caesar character and the new mythos these films have created.

Reeves deserves to blow up, he is great and I have loved his movies so far and this looks to be very good too.

Unfortunately that means Marvel wont go near him for one of their properties, but hopefully WB will for a DC property once Apes 3 is done.

How is using mo-cap, getting an actors exact facial/body movements, then transforming them using CGI a gimmick?

Giving a character like Caesar real, relatable human like facial and body language for the purpose of story telling is the exact opposite of a gimmick.
