Man On The Roof: The Rob Hunter Story
![]()
After many years of robbing banks, ex MI6 operative Rob Hunter, thought this night would be just like the rest. The chopper was on the roof ready for the getaway, his men were just as prepared as they have ever been. He was armed with body armor and a military issued gatling gun that he was using to pulverize the Metropolis police department below. Two bumbling security officers were not match for his gatling gun. He should have known better.
After returning to the planet by saving a malfunctioning jet with reporter Lois Lane inside, Superman appears out of nowhere, the bullets bouncing off his chest and ricocheting into the helicopter. The gun goes quiet and he tries one last thing, aims a magnum right at Superman's eye and fires. The bullet deflects off his eye and pings to the ground below. Superman smirks and then ties Hunter up in the helicopter blades.
A year passes, but when Superman fails to show up for his court date, Hunter is released. Superman is too busy taking care of his son Jason and saving the world, but all Hunter can thing about is revenge. He kidnaps Dr. Teng and takes him back to his home in England hoping to devise a way to stop the Man Of Steel. Dr. Teng knows Superman's weakness is Kryptonite and he uses this to develop a gun that Hunter can use kill Superman.
Hunter trains day and night to prepare for his next meeting with The Man Of Steel. He enters underground wrestling matches and participates in pick up soccer games. He's never been stronger. Finally Dr. Teng has finished the weapon, but it isn't enough for Hunter to merely have a gun. He wants Dr. Teng to attach it to his hand. The doctor resists, but when Hunter tells him he will release him back to his family in Metropolis if he completes the task, he has no choice.
With the gun now fashioned to his hand. Hunter is almost unstoppable. Powered by Kryptonite the gun is not only able to produce Kryptonite energy but can also harness the power of electricity which is available anywhere in the world. Mixing lightweight military armor with the most formidable weapon ever created, Rob Hunter dubbed "The Hunter" by British tabloids, sets off to Metropolis to kill Superman.
To Be Continued...
