Man On The Roof: The Rob Hunter Story

600px-Uselessgundraw.jpg

After many years of robbing banks, ex MI6 operative Rob Hunter, thought this night would be just like the rest. The chopper was on the roof ready for the getaway, his men were just as prepared as they have ever been. He was armed with body armor and a military issued gatling gun that he was using to pulverize the Metropolis police department below. Two bumbling security officers were not match for his gatling gun. He should have known better.

After returning to the planet by saving a malfunctioning jet with reporter Lois Lane inside, Superman appears out of nowhere, the bullets bouncing off his chest and ricocheting into the helicopter. The gun goes quiet and he tries one last thing, aims a magnum right at Superman's eye and fires. The bullet deflects off his eye and pings to the ground below. Superman smirks and then ties Hunter up in the helicopter blades.

A year passes, but when Superman fails to show up for his court date, Hunter is released. Superman is too busy taking care of his son Jason and saving the world, but all Hunter can thing about is revenge. He kidnaps Dr. Teng and takes him back to his home in England hoping to devise a way to stop the Man Of Steel. Dr. Teng knows Superman's weakness is Kryptonite and he uses this to develop a gun that Hunter can use kill Superman.

Hunter trains day and night to prepare for his next meeting with The Man Of Steel. He enters underground wrestling matches and participates in pick up soccer games. He's never been stronger. Finally Dr. Teng has finished the weapon, but it isn't enough for Hunter to merely have a gun. He wants Dr. Teng to attach it to his hand. The doctor resists, but when Hunter tells him he will release him back to his family in Metropolis if he completes the task, he has no choice.

With the gun now fashioned to his hand. Hunter is almost unstoppable. Powered by Kryptonite the gun is not only able to produce Kryptonite energy but can also harness the power of electricity which is available anywhere in the world. Mixing lightweight military armor with the most formidable weapon ever created, Rob Hunter dubbed "The Hunter" by British tabloids, sets off to Metropolis to kill Superman.

The Steel Curtain: A Man Formerly Known As Matt

03-29-04_gothams-black-and-gold-fever_original.jpg

Matt had never been on a movie set before. None of his close friends knew this but it had always been Matt's life long dream to become a famous actor. They sure knew about his support of the local football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He owned everything from the Terrible Towel to Steelers toilet paper, but the acting thing, that was his little secret. He never let on that Pittsburgh native Joe Manganiello was his idol. He kept that poster in his closet, but left the former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis aka The Bus poster out for all to see.

There was so many reasons being on the set that day was special to Matt. The scene being shot was for the upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan's last movie in the epic trilogy. Not only that, but it was being shot at Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The icing on the cake was that Hines Ward, legendary Steelers receiver was going to be in the movie. This seemed like the perfect day, until it happened.

Matt was talking about politics and sports in line with his friends waiting to get in, little did he know that Hines Ward and Jerome Bettis had snuck in line to sign autographs. Around that time the stadium security announced that there was no more room for fans to enter the stadium and they were at capacity. That's when things got out of control. There was chanting about Fire Rising and then the stampede started. Matt did everything he could to help the security guards, even firing their guns, but it was too late. The Dark Knight Rises fanboys had killed many an innocent victim in the mad dash for the stadium, including Bettis and Ward.

Matt never recovered. He took to target practice and among fellow marksman, he became the best. He bought a school bus and decided to provide service to and from the local movie theater, for free. He become the talk of the city. The locals nicknamed him "The Bus" after fallen Steelers great Jerome Bettis. Matt took the name, even donning a black and yellow costume to entertain his passengers. Little did they know, The Bus has something more sinister in mind.

Knowing that there would be in advanced screening of the Dark Knight Rises, Matt picked up dozens of Batman fanboys in his bus and took the an unusual route to the theater. Stopping just on one of the famous yellow bridges in Pittsburgh, Matt removed a pair of the security guards guns modified to automatic pistols and mowed down the entire bus of fans. He has since disappeared but left a note vowing to take out overzealous fanboys all over the world.

Upon hearing the story, Warner Bros and DC Comics has decided to use the villain in a new comic run by Geoff Johns. The villain will also be featured in the new Batman film that is going to be a reboot of the entire universe. The title is The Amazing Batman and is going to deal with a teenage Bruce Wayne who falls in love with Rachel Dawes at Gotham High. Being so wealthy, Bruce decides to rent an entire bus that will take only him to school every day. Alfred originally drives the bus, but when he falls ill a new bus driver steps in. Known simply as Matt, the driver instantly takes to Bruce. When Bruce spurns friendship and Matt finds out that he and Batman are one in the same, he takes out his revenge on the millions of Batman fans all over the world.
