PART 1:
The day began as the sun set over the waters of Manhattan. It was peaceful, as the sun reflected off the city's largest skyscrapers. Very little happened below, very few people on the sidewalks, very little traffic. It was unusually peaceful, which worried the hero above as he sat upon one of the many tall skyscrapers, examing the events below, as he sat with his fist underneath his chin being held up by his knee. The hero gasped.
"Come on, NYC... I know you need me," said Spider-Man who was more than ready for something even so minor to happen.
The web-slinger gasped again as he stood to his feet and looked down below.
"Have it your way then," Spider-Man responded as he prepared to leap off the building when suddenly, he heard sirens as he turned his attention towards them. "Do you always have to answer when I'm in doubt?"
Finally with that remark, the hero had leapt off of the building, as he fell further down, more buildings began to crowd him, so he used them as he spun a webline from one of his wrists to swing down further towards the sirens.
"We need back-up, the suspect is headed north on 5th Avenue in a beige mini-van, we believe they have a hostage in the back-seat," the frantic police officer reported back to the station through his walky-talky as his partner on the driver's side followed the mini-van as the officer on the passenger's side of the vehicle described.
Meanwhile, in the mini-van, the passenger turned around and pointed a handgun at the man tied up in the back-seat.
"Tell us what you know about Dimitri, or you die," claimed the man holding the gun in the passenger's seat.
"I am not required to answer your question, Piss-Head," the man tied up in the back replied as he then spit in the face of the man pointing the gun at him.
The man looked enraged at the man tied up and pulled back the barrel of the gun and was ready to shoot the man in the back but the driver stopped him by pointing the gun, which was still in the passenger's hand, at the ceiling of the van to stop him from killing the man in the back.
"Shots fired, shot fired," reported the officer with the walky-talky.
The man in the passenger's seat slowly turned his attention to the driver.
"Why did you do that?" asked the man in the passenger's seat.
"Think next time you idiot. We need him alive, Ivan," the driver answered.
"Why? For the boss, we never even met the guy. He could be a fake!"
"He's no fake, Ivan!"
"How? What proof do you have, Vladimir?"
"I have no proof but the fears..."
"Fears of what?"
"Fears of discovering who he really is if we fail."
The driver, Vladimir, turned the corner as the cop car behind did the same, continuing to keep up.
"Men, we have your position on the GPS, back-up's coming," reported the man over the walky-talky. The passenger picked up the walky-talky and began to talk.
"Captain Stacy, oh boy, is it good to hear from you again," the officer gladly responded.
"It's good to hear from you as well boys, but don't worry, we'll be meeting each other in a moment," Captain Stacy claimed.
The passenger turned towards the driver in confusion.
"Stacy always likes to make his entrance, this time, I'm expecting him to come from above," the driver answered the officer's confusion as he leaned his head closer to the dashboard and looked up to the sky to see a helicopter come from above one of the skyscrapers. "Right on time, Captain."
"Okay, Henry, let's get down there to show these S.O.B.s we mean buisness," Captain Stacy directed to the pilot of the helicopter. The pilot smiled while still paying attention to flying the helicopter but then grew worried as something had grabbed onto the helicopter and then pulled itself off as the helicopter bounced up then down a bit. "What was that?"
"Our Friendly Neighboorhood, Spider-Man," the pilot, Henry, answered to Captain Stacy.
Ivan, in the passenger's seat, again turned around towards the man tied up.
"Now, you talk," Ivan pointed the gun at the defenseless man. "Or you-"
Ivan's claim was interupted when suddenly, Spider-Man's two feet came smashing through his window and kicking him in the face. As Ivan dropped the gun to the floor due to the attack, Spider-Man sat with his legs inside the van and his body outside of it.
"Sorry to interupt, gentlemen. But I heard there was trouble," Spider-Man remarked.
"The only trouble here, is you," Ivan responded as he grabbed Spider-Man's legs and threw them outside of the van, but Spider-Man was still attached to the van.
"You'll have to do better than that," Spider-Man replied.
"Umm, how 'bout this?" the driver, Vladimir, quickly picked up the gun from the bottom of the van and pointed it at Spider-Man who had disappeared from his spot on the van. Vladimir held the gun close to him as he looked over at Ivan who was signaling with his eyes for Vladimir to turn towards his side where Spider-Man now was. He began to move slowly but then quickly shot towards his side, pointing the gun at out his side but as he did so, Spider-Man quickly opened the door, and with Vladimir's own weight used against him, he throws himself out of the van. Ivan went to pull out his gun but realized Vladimir had it last. Spider-Man stopped to look at him for a moment but then threw himself into the van and again kicked Ivan with both of his feet right out of the van. Spider-Man then pulled his feet back into the vehicle as he then sat in the driver's seat, he looked back and saw the man tied up.
"Freddy?" Spider-Man asked, but the man didn't respond as he was curious to how he knew his name. "Ahh... brake."
Spider-Man slammed his foot on the gas pedel and the car sped up.
"Gas! Ahh... brake?!..." Spider-Man then slammed the same foot down to the brake pedel which made the van skid along the road and then finally stop. Spider-Man took a deep breath of relief as he then leaned back in his seat, taking his foot off the pedel.
"It's still on," the man tied up(who Spider-Man refered to as Freddy) refered to the van still being left on.
"Ohh well, I'm not paying gas for this beast," Spider-Man replied.
Captain Stacy's helicopter then landed as Stacy came marching out and running towards Spider-Man.
"Captain Stacy, good to see you again," Spider-Man greeted Captain Stacy.
"When are you going to let us do our jobs, Webhead?" Captain Stacy asked Spider-Man.
"When you finally catch me," Spider-Man answered as he shot a webline at the building to his right and swung himself up to it as he began running up the wall and onto the roof.
"Damn superheroes," Captain Stacy remarked to himself.
