That's what I've read, as I haven't watched it either. But, it's said that Batmite presents it as a hypothetical scenario for a future Batman show, among others.

While I think it would be a potentially interesting series, I don't think anyone should be jumping to conclusions just yet and end up disappointed if it ends up not happening. The only future Batman show that's been talked about is the CGI Batman show that James Tucker talked about at last year's Comic-Con.
