who would be the top 7 characters that we be good at poker in descending order?

Martian Manhunter
The Question
Batman
Superman
Calculator
Lex Luthor
King

if cheating:
Joker
Zatanna

Sharing first would definitely have to be Batman and Lex Luthor. Both would be phenominal at bluffing

Second- without a moment's hesitation, would have to be Mr. Terrific. He's supposed to brilliant.

Third- The Question (not the terrible new version with Montoya). He's great at reading into things.

Fourth- Madame Xanadu. Cards are her thing. Poker would be second nature to her.

Fifth- Catwoman and Grodd would have to share that position.

How's that ?

Oh i see what you did there!

Is that you saying you havent read it?

Of course it is. Thanks for letting me hijack this thread. I love hijacking threads. I live to make the internet more miserable (for DavidTyler.)

Oh that Vic Sage, huh? He sure is creepy with the no-face, amiright? Amiright? Amiright? Huh? Huh?

Who did a better 80s hack standup comedian, Hypesters? YOU DECIDE.

I'm saying I'm not going to participate in having this thread go off topic.

And this is the last response I will give on that subject. All others will be ignored.

lilboo - Yeah, the Question has the ultimate poker face. The only character who would be even better at it would be Dr. Fate ... but I don't think he plays poker.

Not a bad shout on the top 3, but I question your bottom 3. I don't see any reason Madame Xanadu would be good at poker. Why did you select Catwoman and why would she share that position with Grodd? Surely someone like Grodd would be much higher on the list. And if he's not using his power, he wouldn't be on the list at all.

The Martian Manhunter
Superman if only he'd cheat and use those Xray peepers
The Flash, he could look at everyones cards before they even knew he moved
Mr Terrific
Elongated man

Cassandra Cain (and Lady Shiva, by extension) would have a good chance, with her body-reading ability.

However, I think they'd have to learn the game first, and have the patience to play.

And I can't even imagine Lady Shiva playing at all.

You're right... Grodd should be much higher on the list. Maybe even sharing the first spot with Luthor and Batman. Don't know what I was thinking at the time. Even without whatever power he has this month, Grodd is somewhat a genius.

As to Madame Xanadu... only because handling cards has been her life. (Tarot being just one type of card game). I also think, having seen some pretty intense readings in the Tarot, that she could keep a pretty straight face over something as mundane as an inside straight or a royal flush.

I think I put Catwoman on the list simply because she's kind of a con-artist anyway being a cat burglar. I just made the leap to she might be good at poker.

I love it when people think they have to TAKE A STAND on EVERYTHING all the TIME, regardless of IMPORTANCE or NECESSITY.

Supes I guess...

After all, he does have x-ray vision...
