She's one of Zues' basterds now, and Magic being a weakness has always been a dubious statement.

I mean just because she's magic doesn't mean he's gonna go down like she's made of Kryptonite. If she had one of those enchanted swords she sometimes has, sure. In a straight up brawl? No. She's strong, but not as strong as Supes. She's fast, but not as fast as Supes. She's durable, but not Durable enough to take too many blows from Superman.

She's a better fighter. Naturally gifted in hand to hand combat and just strong enough to actually hurt the big guy. If I were arguing for her to take this, I'd go with that line of reasoning. Not that tired Magic Weakness. Cuz it ultimately doesn't matter.

See I disagree. Zatanna's spells might hurt him with out finishing him off but WW strength is magically given. It not only equals him physically but every punch is magically charged so it would hurt him on 2 levels and the level of magic is much higher.

Uhhh, no, they are not Magically charged. They're just punches.

So? That does not mean she's bleeding mystic energy. That has NEVER been so.

Magic, as it applies to Superman has always been about what magic basically is. It's cheat codes for the universe. A way to get around pesky things like physics. If some mad sorcerer casts some withering spell on Supes that would eat away at his body until he dies, then that would work. It's because magic takes what is and changes it to whatever the user wants it to be. Superman is invulnerable. But with a spell or an enchantment that can change the very fabric of the universe that no longer applies.

But just because somethings been created from Magic doesn't mean it can hurt Supes. It's just made of magic. Some magic Golem punching him in the face wont hurt him any more than some giant robot punching him in the face. You'd need to create a magic Golem that has been created specifically to destroy anything it punches in the face. What you're talking about, well, that's not how it works.

Which is what I said in my first post. They won't right it that way because it means their chosen one would have to lose. But they should. If your body is made out of magic then every punch from you should be like getting punched in the face with a magic spell.

It's funny how they sometimes write it that way when out of continuity though like in Superman Batman Public Enemies hen CM was kicking his ass and telling him he doesn't do well against magic until Batman changed opponents with him. That's actually the way it SHOULD BE all the time!
