I want to be excited about Superman: Secret Origin, simply because I want to get to know what makes him tick in New Earth's continuity, but I just can't bring myself to care about another origin story for him.

I'm skipping it. Of the previews so far, in fact, I'm only buying Adventure Comics, Blackest Night, Green Lantern, and Green Lantern Corps. I'm thinking about the REBELS Annual (but I'm not a huge fan of the Starro retcon, so I don't know for sure) and Superman/Batman (I don't know who these Peter Johnson and Matt Cherniss people are, but I like the comic right now and the solicitation sounds good).

no Wildstorm solicitations yet?:(

And what is the secret behind the sudden rash of pregnancies on Paradise Island?
...Um.

I'm going to guess penis is the secret. Just a wild hunch...

Haha, silly BW, expecting comic book logic to be the same as real world logic. Me, I call some kind of mystical virus. Yes, I am equating children with disease. But that's just me.

Woohoo, Tomasi's writing the Batman tie-in mini to Blackest Night.

This is probably not news, but it is to me.

SO basically Achilles is just banging the Amazons.

Probably all the Olympians are. I bet the leader of the Circle is somehow involved as well, since she's obsessed with the Amazons' children and/or lack thereof.

Probably Ares whittle baby is a "fertility" idol. Genocide is one of the babies.

It could just be that men and women are living together now and ****ing. But I guess it's probably going to be more complicated than that. The men are technically zombies, maybe they can't even conceive.

Quickly now, Black Lanterns Ralph and Sue. We're gonna have us an experiment.

JMS Brave and the Bold looks fun. I'm in for Blackest Night and Superman Secret Origin.

I haven't picked up Justice Society since the relaunch and I'm usually not of fan of Willingham's superhero work but I'll give it a try.

I was going to pick up Robinson's Justice League but...well "JUSTICE!"

Wait a minute? What is this? It says September Solicitations, this is for October. I was wronged! I expected September, but instead got October! This....this can't be left unturned, this can not go without action! I want, no, I demand
JUSTICE!!!
I whisper in the ears of all....justice

:yay:

Oh, why don't you quit your b****ing and go be unnecessarily rough with some villains? :cmad:

JMS' Brave and the Bold looks like it could be really good if he brings his A-game. Of course, if he doesn't, it's a pretty much totally worthless book.

I'll give Robinson a try on Justice League, but if Cry for Justice #1 is any indication, he really doesn't know what he's doing.

All the Superman previews look pretty good actually. But I'll just be sticking with Secret Origin, Adventure, and Action. There hasn't been nearly enough excitement in WONK and Superman to get me to actually read them on a consistent basis.

But...I only wanted justice, is it so much to scream to the heavens for :waa:

I'm not really interested in most of that. I decided not to follow Blackest Night and I don't care about Secret Origins in the least. World's Finest could be good I guess. I'm kind of interested in seeing what JMS will do on Brave and the Bold, but I'll skip that issue/arc. Not really following the other stuff, and with Robinson's name on JLA and the solicit info on WW I doubt I'll start those either

This will be the month after the final issue of Flash: Rebirth right? I wonder if we'll see that other Flash related series in this months solicits.

Superman wise I am looking forward to the Superman Secret Origin miniseries. I loved the Johns/Franks run on Action Comics and look forward to see that again.

Blackest Night definitely looks like it is going to be interesting but I am really hating all this Blackest Night: Superman, Blackest Night: Batman...crap. I would love to read it all but my pocket can't afford it. I will have to stick with the main Blackest Night and the Green Lantern book. :o

I have an easier time with the tie-ins, since none of them actually interest me except maybe the BN: Batman one, and that's more for Deadman than BatDick.

Personally, I prefer having those minis as opposed to the alternative of tying them into the main title of said characters. If it's important or relevant to the event then it's fine to do the tie-in thing, like they're doing with GL and GLC, but with those it doesn't really strike me that they'll be much more than [Insert big name character] fights zombies of family/friends off to the side

I'm actually looking forward to the Blackest Night tie-ins because DC has put on some pretty damn good talent on them (I like Robinson's Superman, Tomasi's Dick Grayson, and Krul's issue on Titans was rather good) and best of all while Marvel would have charged $3.99 and put some no namer like Frank Tieri, Adam Felber, and Kieron Gillen, DC is charging $2.99 for them.

Generally, I don't pick up tie ins unless they're by really good writers, and these Blackest Night ones actually look pretty good. Them only being 3 issues helps too.

-Thank heavens, Amy Reeder Hadley is back to Madame Xanadu. Kaluta's art wasn't bad, but I loved Hadley's, it was really one of the main reasons I checked out the book. It's great either way, but her art is just so...yummy I guess is really the only way I can think to describe it.

-Detective Comics sounds interesting enough. I don't if this is retelling (aka rectonning) of Batwoman's past or if this is all new. Not 100% on the title since only one issue of the current arc is out, but I do trust Rucka.

Larfleeze action figure wooohoooooooooo
