DC's 2015 Event: CONVERGENCE

ok... I'm a diehard DC fan... but this was hands down the dumbest event I've ever read. And the new Divergence stuff doesn't interest me at all. I guess for the rest of the Summer I'll be saying "Make Mine Secret Wars!"

It was a two-month filler event while DC moves to Burbank, CA. Seriously, it wasn't supposed to be overwhelming or anything.

I didn't need "overwhelming", I didn't even need "good", I just needed "not bad" and I couldn't even get that.

I didn't even read the main book, so I have nothing to say about that. But it gave us some nice little mini-titles, and I liked that. So far the only Secret Wars book I'm really lookin forward to is Siege, and that Agent of Hydra book that comes out in August.

Very interesting... something tells me they'll be few and far between, though, and largely relegated to supporting roles compared to the main/post-Convergence versions, though...

Maybe I'm just being pessimistic.

read 0-8 first and then spinoffs?

Yeah, probably. Of the spinoffs I read, they were all self contained. Their starting points were typically right around the same as Convergence 1 or 2, and then they told their own two-issue story. Granted, I only read the pre-Flashpoint Batman-centric ones. Others might have been different.

I'm definitely in for Lois & Clark and Titans Hunt but chances are I'll completely pass on Telos.

Superman might be interesting, maybe the Titans. Telos didn't have much development going on, so I'll see how issue one is received.
