The most famous case is obviously Cyclops ditching his wife and kid when he found out Jean Grey was alive, and he was brought down as a character somewhat for it, but it would still be nice for him to show some more shame for it every once and a while.

Other, more murky and less clear cut cases are Colossus having a kid unknown to him from that trip to the savage land and the writers (not the unbeknownst Colossus) not taking respibility for introducing that, as well as the similar case of Longshot and Dazzlers at-one-time unborn baby. Was it ever officially established that she had a misscariage or is that just retcon speculation ?

There's just something sort of dick-ish on the writers part in my opinion when it comes to this stuff. They can't seem to ever stop creating new characters with no previous relationship or necessary relevance to the existing ones, but you can't take care of this dark cloud over supposedly riteous characters on riteous paths we have affection for? I also think it would be an interesting storyline.

And yes, I do have a degree of affection for Longshot and Dazzler and think they inhabit a nicely non-oversaturated portion of the X-Men zeitgeist.

What about Wolverine and Amiko? But then again, it doesn't seem like he stays away from her by choice.

Well, you've got Xavier and Legion... didn't he pretty much just lock poor ol' Dave up in a containment center on Muir?

It wasn't like that. Xavier left Legion in the care of one of the world's foremost scientists. He left him in Moira's care, it's not like he locked him and kept him from having any contact, like Moira (ironically) did with Kevin (Proteus for the uninitiated).

There was a great "I'm ashamed" moment of Cyclops regarding the whole Madelyne episode in X-Men The End, yes I know it's not in continuity, but if you ever want to see Cyclops saying "I'm sorry" to her, well read it.

There is also this theory that Wolverine has fathered thousands of children all over the world.

That wouldn't surprise me.

Actually, David's mother (Gabrielle) brought him to Moira in the first place. And I assume she had something to say about leaving him there.

Yeah, I read that Cyclops/Madelyne bit in X-Men: The End & thought 'it's about d----d time!'
