Uh, there are several times Vertigo characters have made cameos in the DCU. Notably the Endless. Also Swamp Thing, was in Day Of Vengeance...

Involving Constantine in DoV would mess with things, since they'd have to acknowledge DoV in Constantine, and they're expressly ignoring the happenings in the DCU in the Vertigo titles these days. Boston might get a cameo if lucky, or something like this, with being impersonated, but beyond that, he's not going to get back into the DCU until long after Vertigo's Deadman is forgotten.
