We've debated the merits of it seems almost every incarnation of Batman, be it either the TV shows or the live-action movies. Now, the issue of which musical theme you personally like. There's Neal Hefti's "Batman" (1960s TV show theme), Danny Elfman's live-action Batman theme, Danny Elfman's semi-adapted theme for "Batman: The Animated Series", Elliot Goldenthal's slightly altered Batman theme for "Batman Forever" and "Batman & Robin", Shirley Walker's theme for the animated series (which can be heard in Mask of the Phantasm as well), Shirley Walker's The New Batman/Superman Adventures theme and Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard's theme for "Batman Begins".

I'm excluding actual songs, I'm specifying an actual musical theme composed exclusively for the show/movie.

Elfmans Batman 89 is the definitive theme for me, its also my favourite, it just fits Batman so well, i was watching Returns the other day and the came on and i remembered how awesome it was.

I also like Shirley Walkers work alot.

Elfman's Batman theme. Can't get any better than that.

Elfman's Batman theme.

I swear to God, i even hear that bloody thing in my head when im reading a Batman comic, lol.

That said; Shirley Walker's theme from Mask Of The Phantasm is pretty frigging awesome. The beginning with the opera-singing choir literally gives me chills.

Elfman's. Not even a contest. I did like the MotP theme, as well.
Although....Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Carol of the Bells" reminds me of Batman...

I think there are only 2 actual themes that the general public can immediately recognize as Batman. Thats the 60's theme and Danny Elfmans.

The theme from MOTP apparently is the names of the cast sung backwards, strange...

Um....Begins.

I just want to be different!!! :wow: :csad: and unique. and special

Elfman 89, dressed up with my brother-in-law when my wife was preschool teacher for the kids and we used it for our entrance, the kids loved it.

But you gotta love the TV theme song, gotta be one of the most identifiable themes ever. I've got it as my ring tone.

I hate the Nanananananan Batman! nnananana Batman! Batman! batman!

I just hate it, because thats what everyone thinks Batman really is, a camp joke.

I hate it when you mention Batman to someone and they start singing the 60's theme. Some people just start singing it if you even mention something Bat-related.

I agree with you. I have a leather bat jacket that I wear and Ive had people start doing that when they see me. Also when I do appearances, bystanders will do that. Makes want to throw a damn 'rang at 'em.lol

It used to be the Elfman-Theme, but throughout the years, Shirley Walker slowly became my favourite.

The greatest scenes in Batman Beyond and JLU are those when you can hear her theme, for example in "Disappearing Inque" or "Epiloque".

Danny Elfman's Batman theme but also like BB's theme as well.

90% of them haven't even watched the 60s show, either.
Most likely their parents did in the 60's/70's (because that show was skull-****ed into every person in the entire country back then).

Batman/Batman returns for me.
