I think Havok already made a thread all its own and I think with the way they said universe stands for we'll have to treat is as the official Deus ex thread.

Thanks, Zenith. What would we do without you?

I was going to get this on the Wii U, but since it's higher, I don't know. I may wait until Black Friday, because I really want to use the Gamepad stuff. Stupid that it's higher.

Square Enix's upcoming augmentation, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut, will include all three DLC packs for the base game and be cheaper if you own the original release on Steam.

For those that already own Deus Ex:HR and its Missing Link DLC, $4.99 will net you a download for the Director's Cut. Fans that own only the base game will need to pay $9.99, while newcomers will pay $19.99.

Director's Cut will offer developer commentaries and a New Game+ mode that carries over upgrades from past playthroughs. Director's Cut will hack into Steam's database on October 22 in North America and October 25 in PAL territories. If you prefer to stick with consoles, October 22 will also see the launch of Director's Cut on the Xbox 360 and PS3 for $30 and on the Wii U for $50.

Well this sucks. All my local stores don't have the director's cut in stock yet, not even gamestop.

So I take it this game is pretty awesome yeah? I just nabbed it for a song on ebay. I played the first one but it's been a good long while.

It's a great game with really terrible boss fights. You probably should have got the Director's Cut or whatever they're calling it. They fixed the boss fights and integrated the DLC directly into the campaign.

Is that really what the difference was with the Director's Cut? It's been a while since I played this and I remember going for the trophies on the hardest mode and looking online for simple ways to get around the bosses and they really were on the cheap side considering how simple they were to beat.

There's more, there are new features added to it of which is show cased in the youtube video's in the article 8 posts a top of you in this page your speaking on and a page over 3posts from the bottom. such as improved AI to name a few and new ways toatake down a boss if your not overly set up for combat .

Ah well I'm only out a few bucks for the old version and if the game is as good as I've been reading about I can always pick up the DC later.

Deus Ex: The Fall is a prequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution where you play as Ben Saxon, an augmented SAS Mercenary who was betrayed by the Tyrants. The story follows the Icarus Effect novel and has gameplay pretty much in line with Human Revolution. Originally released for smartphones, Square Enix and developer N-Fusion have a PC version scheduled to come out next month. Being developed in Unity was a likely a factor why Deus Ex: The Fall is coming to PC.

The PC version has 28 Steam achievements, trading cards, improved graphics, and readjusted enemy AI. Also, all microtransactions in The Fall have been taken out. Deus Ex: The Fall has two control schemes controller and PC shown below.
Square Enix will release the game on March 25 for $9.99. Pre-orderers will receive Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition as a bonus.

I picked up the HR a few weeks before everything broke and it wasn't bad but I didn't put in enough time to actually get a good idea on how it is. It'll be a few more months before I can try again.

Cant believe it took me this long to play this awesome game. Unfortunately nobody around me has the Director's Cut :(
