Diamond List for August 22, 2007

dc Comics

Batman #668 $2.99
Batman Lobo Deadly Serious #1 (of 2) $5.99 - (Sam Keith did such a good job with the Batman/Joker mini, I'm really looking forward to this one.)
Birds Of Prey #109 $2.99 - (I really need to drop this title. It's iffy if I'll do it this week or not.)
Countdown 36 $2.99 - (These issues are greatly dragged down by the Jimmy Olsen storyline. Plus, Countdown's stories are featured in the regular books, like with Ray Palmer being in New Atom, and the stories don't mesh that well. You don't really have to read Countdown to know or like the adventures any better in the respective titles. Definitely a disappointment compared to 52,IMO.)
Green Arrow Year One #4 (of 6) $2.99
Green Lantern Corps #15 $2.99
Jsa Classified #29 $2.99
Outsiders Five Of A Kind Week 4 Metamorpho Aquaman $2.99 - (Haven't been impressed with the first two issues. I am sticking around to see if Batman can help this failing title...but, I'm not holding my breath.)
Showcase Presents Wonder Woman Vol 1 Tp $16.99
Spirit #9 $2.99
Supergirl And The Legion Of Super Heroes #33 $2.99
Superman #666 $3.99 - (Crappy Superman stories still abound. Plus, the Countdown tie-ins have been pure drizzle. Does anyone care about Jimmy Olsen?)

Amazing Spider-man #543 $2.99
Annihilation Conquest Star Lord #2 (of 4) $2.99

Good stuff, huh? I'm enjoying the Camper/Jerael/Rohlan subplot a lot.

Says who? C'mon. Get into financial debt and ruin like the rest of us!

Seriously though, those DVDs are great for people in a pinch.

I can't wait to tell me girlfriend that we are in debt because of comic books (wouldn't be the first time) Yeah, those CD's are cool...I ripped them from a friend...it was like getting the whole collection for free...but it's not as cool as having the actual book in your hands though.

All the books to get excited about somehow made if off your pull list.

That's a book that I really wanted to pick up when it debuted. Sometimes I regret passing on it. :(

Do whatever you have to in order to get either the back issues or the two trades. Stealing from kids at the store is permissible in this situation. I would do this book...wait I already do.:up:

You should. It's been loads of fun.

Loads are always fun.

As the Hype's Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle Fan Club President (I am President because I am hispanic, so by default you can see) I implore you, nay, demand that you at least purchase the first trade, or issue #7 of the series. You will not regret it.

I was always considered Hyper to be my favorite Hispanic poster, but he left a long time ago:csad::hyper:

Hey, does that mean Corpulent is by default the president of the Black Adam fan club? Haha, sucka!

I've always thought there is a lack of Hispanic characters in comics{Being Hispanic myself}.Is Blue Beetle really that good?if so then I might pick it up.

If it helps, I have been reading and enjoying BLUE BEETLE since #1. It's had some bumps but has been solid for a while now.

I think I might check it out.But I already have to play catch up with X-factor.:csad:

I bought the first 7 or 8 issues...couldn't stand Blue Beetle and dropped it like a hot potato.
