WONDER WOMAN #30 $2.99 - Last issue was the best of the arc; hopefully we continue to focus more on the Olympians side of the story.

MARVEL COMICS

CAPTAIN AMERICA #48 $2.99 - This second arc/half-arc has been really good, but I can't wait to get to the stuff coming after it.
DAREDEVIL #117 $2.99 - Rumours of Brubaker's replacement flying around; if so, this is shaping up to be a fantastic retirement arc.
FANTASTIC FOUR #565 $2.99 - This story would've been stronger published together as planned, but it's a nice focus on the family dynamic.
GUARDIANS OF GALAXY #12 $2.99 - This two-parter, by contrast, started as rather dull, but we've gotten to the action here.
INCREDIBLE HERCULES #127 DKR $2.99 - Ah, I just love this book.
MIGHTY AVENGERS #23 DKR $2.99 - Still not sure about this, but we'll see.

Over $40 for one week, 2 weeks in a row. My budgeted comic spending is $25 a week. I hate it but I'm going to have to really start cutting things. I've already cut Secret Six, JLA, Hulk, and Green Arrow/Black Canary. I'm not sure what else to cut. I'll be losing titles I love and that really sucks.

Looking at this list above this may be the last issue of the Death-Defying Devil I buy. I'm realy enjoying this Project Superpowers line, but this is my least favorate and it's the end of the first arc, so I may have to put it on hold. I'd hate to do it though. And this'll also probably be the last issue of Mighty Avengers I buy. I like Slott and to be fair I said I'd give him until the end of his first arc, which should be this issue, to really hook me. Sadly, it hasn't hooked me yet. Just not a fan of the old Avengers feel. If it wasn't for the 3.99 price hikes Marvel's done all over the place I may have tried to stick with this one but I just can't afford it. Skaar: Son of Hulk will at least go one more issue before I drop it. I don't want to and have found myself enjoying it, but it's not attached to anything else right now and I have to cut something. Sadly, this will probably be cut once it goes Planet Skaar. It's another one that may have been saved if not for the $4 price rises.

I've also decided that once all the mini-series and one-shots that I already buy are done I'm not buying anymore unless they're important to an ongoing or the Marvel Universe as a whole. I'm glad X-Infernus is finishing up so it's one less $4 comic. And while Darkhawk is finishing up, War of Kings and War of Kings: Ascension are starting up, and me being a big fan of the Cosmic scene I'll be getting these, so the 2 ending minis and the 2 beginning minis cancel each other out. Better than them all coming out at once I guess, but with X-Men: Kingbreaker and X-Men Spider-Man ended also, I guess I'm making up some ground.

Now, regarding the comics that are coming out. I'm excited to see Umbrella Academy coming out and am sad that there's only one more issue until this story's finished (but then again, that's one more title 'cut'). I really didn't think this one would be as good as the first mini but I think it's been equally as good. The two read like an ongoing and I just love it and hope for a 3rd mini soon. I'm being careful on the Oneshots but I'm excited for the Messiah War Prologue one-shot and the Avengers: Initiative Reptyl one-shots. I really like X-Force and Cable, and I liked Messiah Complex, so I've been looking forward to this one. And anything Initiative is always a pleasure to read. I kinda feel like this is the first good step toward post Disassembled for Initiative and a good idea of what we'll be seeing post-Slott. Both should be good. Though instead of this Reptyl guy, I wish they would have used a once used character named Primal from an issue of X-Men Unlimited way back during Operation: Zero Tolerance. He was a cool and similar character.

The cosmic side of comics gets a nice showing. Nova, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Darkhawk all in one week, along with Silver Surfer in Skaar just has me excited as can be. This is a great cosmic week!

I've been curious about the Sorceror Supreme storyline in New Avengers so I'm glad to see it coming out now. I like the Hood and I'm hoping this'll make him a real player in the Marvel universe. I'm glad to see the writer of Punisher use him, and someone else will be writing his mini, so he's starting to get some use outside of Bendis. We'll see how it plays out though.

And The Immortal Iron Fist... how I love thee. Always a gem of the week.

I think it's good that #24 comes out that early. Maybe #25 will come out towards the end of April.

The arc has been great so far, so glad we don't have to wait long especially after the set up #23 left.

No kidding. I've been saying that Nova is my favorate book right now, but the more I think about it the more I'm thinking Iron Fist fills that spot. I don't think there's any other book out there that I actually eagerly await each issue. I get more excited when I see Iron Fist on this list than anything else and with the exception of one or two "other Iron Fist" issues, I've never once been disappointed with an issue.

How's sales doing on this book these days? Dread might be best to ask since I know he follows them closely. Any chance of cancelation or anything in the book's future?
