Diamond List for March 11th, 2009

When are you talking about about? The last time I remember them recently tying into an event is one issue tired into Countdown and then the RIP tie-in, and the RIP arc was barely a tie-in at all.

I was thinking the same thing. Detective has been pretty much on it's own, except I think it tied in with the Ra's storyline.

Green Lantern, though, is definitely worth reading. But, if you do get it, you have to also get Green Lantern Corps. Things happening in each comic has relevance to the other. They are one of the best DC books coming out right now.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that atrocious event. Even still that was only two issues. Beside those three issues, though, I agree, Detective has been very much on it's on

BPRD Black Goddess #3 (of 5) $2.99
Invincible Iron Man #11 DKR $2.99

GREEN LANTERN CORPS #34 $2.99
GUARDIANS OF GALAXY #11 $2.99
IMMORTAL IRON FIST #23 $2.99
X-MEN MANIFEST DESTINY NIGHTCRAWLER ONE SHOT $3.99 - What's this about?
BLACK TERROR #3 $3.50 - About time. I've been eager for this issue to come out.

Maybes
CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI 13 #11 $2.99 - Hate to say it but I'm getting a bit bored of this title. If I can afford it I'll get it, but otherwise I may have to push it back until another time.
BATMAN BATTLE FOR THE COWL #1 (OF 3) $3.99 - Chances are I'll get this but I want to thumb through it first. Not sure if I want to jump on this Batman Bandwagon yet.
GREEN ARROW BLACK CANARY #18 $2.99 - I skipped last issue and am probably done with the series. But I may get it eventually.

Overally, a smaller week than normal (thank God) but a good one. I'm loving the Project Superpowers line so far and of the 3 solo efforts at the moment, Black Terror's book is the best. I've been eager for this next issue so I'm excited there. The Lantern books have been good so I get excited every time a new issue comes out. And Iron Fist is one of my favorate books, so I'm stoked about that one weekly, even before it comes out! And GotG.... always love my cosmics.

If the Manifest Destiny one-shot about Nightcrawler is the same as it is for most comics with that headline, it is a $4 tale of the awesome adventure of Nightcrawler moving to California. ;)

Which I am starting to get really bored of. I'll probably thumb through it. If he really quits like I read above then I'll probably get it as it's affecting status quo... if it's just another tale I'll probably ignore it.

By the way Dread... I do second the Green Lantern suggestions. I'm not a big DC fan and am only just recently really trying to give them a chance. I'm already sheding books but the Lantern books are definate keepers. In fact, they're the only 100% safe DC books I read.

Also... ever considered the Project Superpowers stuff? (along with the Black Terror and Death Defying Devil ongoings and the Masquarade mini). I skipped the first mini but went back to get it on a whim and have found myself really enjoying them.

I tend to do that with my independant whim stuff. Echo was the same way and I'm loving that book (though it is a bit slow moving), and The End League started good but has been getting a bit old of late. Now that I'm starting to get used to the new artist I'm curious if I'll grow to like it more. It just takes too long to come out each issue. And Umbarella Academy has just been phenominal!

It's probably all about him quitting the X-Men :(

BOOSTER GOLD #18 $2.99

I'm okay with that. I don't read Uncanny anyway, so whether he's on the team or not makes no difference to me. Actually, if he's off the team, it frees him up for another mini-series. :)

You know, I actually liked Nightcrawler best in that shortlived ongoing he was in. I thought it was phenominal. I hated that it ended. That and District X were the best X-Men books of the time.

I wouldn't be as opposed to him leaving if it were for a better reason. Feeling obsolete b/c Pixie can teleport faster and farther is so stupid. Her teleportation is good for fleeing, not fighting; he'd kill her in a fight :whatever:

District X :up::up:

The internet is falling....and Darthphere can't get it up.
