I say after this give Marvel the rights back & in a few years let them start over the right away & show FOX how its done

Marvel entertainment is run by Stan Lee, and he loves Singer's work....... so lets say marvel does take the franchise back, we could see singer again.......... it still depresses me that singer left:(

Save X-men from what?...yeah there were some flaws in the first 2 but they werent major enough for "saving"

its the mutha-f***in X-MEN!!! He is so lucky to get a chance to make such a HUGE film.

if you nitpick, no movie is perfect

Batman Begins: hhhmmmm, the bat mobile, no one who works for the government or wayne enterprises saw the highly televised car chase and thought "hhmmmm, wasn't that designed by wayne corp.

Both Spiderman films: Villian hurt aunt may, spiderman gets mad, beats villian up, villain then kidnaps MJ, spiderman barely saves MJ in time, barely beats bad guy, saves day, monolouge at the end

you think morgan freeman was the only one who knew about that car........... or what about the miltary, they were going to sell it to them before the bridge thing didn't work, remember.......

I think in a way, because it took A LONG time before they found a director. Any longer and they prbably would've cancelled it

I think the idea there was supposed to be that the car wasnt meant to be seen clearly at night.

And don't even mention the microwave weapon (in Batman) that only evaporates water in the city water supply pipes...

Or the super-strong Goblin who can hold a cable car in one hand, or the bad FX when he nukes the directors on the balcony, or the terrible FX on the spider that bit Peter...

Your Batman Begins example is a nit-pick. Your Spider-man one shows why those films were terrible and repetitve.

All films have flaws... if the film is good enough the mind excuses them, or if they are explained with small fill ins by the viewer thats a better way to make flaws, as opposed to other flicks where theres really no explanation but idiocy haha.

A flaw i cant excuse: Glover shoving predator off the roof in predator 2 as he turns away.

Hahah!!The microwave weapon made no sense whatsoever...that wouldve just killed anything in its radius....including Bats and Ras

Also Alfred stayed "waiting" for Bruce's return this whole time.

But on Spidey...the GG is suppose to do that...and who cares about the FX,it was awsome back then. In a few years even X3's FX will look like major crap

People are so fast to attack Ratner. Give the man a break. At least wait until the dam movie comes out before you hang him by his balls. Be fair!

And, if i was of that mindset, i could easily tear apart X1 and X2.

But there are two ways of looking at everything - positive and negative.

The spidey movies are VERY over-rated. Terrible acting, weak plots.

Batman was great until he actually returned to Gotham, the stuff in the mountains was very good.

Hulk was quality but too deep for most viewers.

FF was ...... a mess.
DD was ...... a mess.

Lets face it ... the x-men movies have been wonderful.

I thought that whole film was great. The climactic train sequence was excellent and thought provoking imo. I think some will miss the whole battle of idealogies there but I got it.

Often I do notice some folks criticizing Ratners decisions whereas Singer i envision wouldve done the same thing. Beasts appearance for instance. I couldnt understand the backlash.

Which kind of worries me, as most reviews hail the special effects and say little about the story . . . Hopefully, the film will be able to maintain its appeal after the coolness of the effects fade.

from what I heard, it would have been the Brotherhood vs, the X-men, but huge, and he was going to include Beast, Angel and Gambit, and that Sabortooth would return, maybe toad too........ with each of the teams concintrating on each other, the government releases the sentinel program, and therefor starting a war against all mutants becuase of the mutant civil war............ then X4 was going to have the phoenix arrising, picture her as unstoppable, then the humans declaring peace with the mutants so the mutants and humans could come together and bring down the phoenix.......

that does sound sweet, but pure speculation, we are basically getting that same X3 without gambit and sentinals

i think that this is going to be close to what singer would have done, but i doubt that singers version would have as much action, from reports that P-Stew and Jackman and such have given us that (the intense action vs. the artisitcness) is the singer/ratner difference

i think with singer we would have for sure had an X4 but..he decided to leave, it was his choice, so then the studio decided this would be the last xmen movie, and i think ratner decided that it dosen't have to be

I think Brett Rather did save the X-men movies. I mean if Brett did not make this movie who in the world could have done this movie?

Then he fixed it so that Xavier & Scott can come back for X-Men 4!

I gotta give Ratner credit for personally ensuring the Return of Magneto, Xavier and Rogue....

I was just wondering did bret ratner save th x-men sage what do you think?

I'm not sure, I thought he 'killed' them literally...at least three of them, possibly more.:marv:

Ratner takes more **** than he deserves, Kinberg and Penn are the real reason this movie was so terrible. Ratner's direction wasn't even all that bad.

Yeah, he didn't have any say in the characters that died. And given the post-credits scene, one of them definitely isn't dead.
