Yes, it's is much more like the comic, and feels like the X-men now. He did things Singer didn't have the imagination to do. Singer is small minded and doesn't get, nor care about comics.

As he should because he makes movies. He doesn't make comic movies. He makes movies that exist on their own as movies.

I wouldnt even argue with that guy, it doesn't have any clue of what makes a quality movie........ he rather have a movie that plays out like a power rangers episode then a movie that captivates the audience

He didn't save it but he didn't destroy it. He just continued it.

nope, he was the studio yes man, agreeing to make a fast production movie, instead of pushing for more time, so they could develop a better script. But now, we got a 90 minute movie that will not surpass X2, only be a forgettful summer flick......

the only thing he did was make sure Fox could release X3 before SR.....

i dont understan how you save a succesful franchise
didnt X2 make 400 million world wide?

You know..it's funny...some of the so-called fans seem to really hate this movie and talk like everyone else agrees...and yet all I heard exiting the theater and all I have seen lately (heck, even in fan reviews) seems to be the complete opposite of hate? Infact, I have heard much praise for Ratners X-Men.

And I loved the alternative story for the Phoenix.

Not everyone agrees on either side. The movie is fairly divided. A lot of the people who love the movie seem to think that people who didn't like it must be lying to themselves or that they are merely Singer fanboys. People are allowed to express their opinions now that they've seen the movie and there are just as many people unsatisfied with the film as there are satisfied. It happens.

Depends on what you're saying he saved it from. If you're asking if he saved it from character development and an emersive plot, then totally.
Long live Singer.

I don't think he "saved" it...its possible that mathew vaughns x3 would have been met with the same success...the fact this movie actually had some quality and action that most people thought were going to evaporate when singer and staff left...is the real reason we're even having this discussion...I know people that thought it was going to be the next Elektra?! They were surprised on opening nite that this was in keeping with the other X-movies...but Singers absence was definitely felt...and the running time isn't the most obvious factor...there are plenty of reasons this movie is getting a mixed reaction...and wether its going to affect how other X-movies are going to be made in the future...only time will tell...People should be happy that the movie wasnt a complete pile... and thats all i have to say bout that.

i dont think he saved it because i dont know what it needed to be saved from. i think if he does stay on for X4 that he will do an great job when he has time to sit down and take his time. i liked X3

He saved X-Men like an iceberg saved the Titanic....oh wait.

And yes if Singer had done it we would have lsot STorm, but we finally saw Halle Berry's FULL DEVELOPED Storm....and we wouldn't have missed much for a better representation of Pheonex, Magneto, Mystique, Rogue and especially Cyclops.

But what a terrible fate right? Not really though.
