Difficulty watching burnt dvds on dvd player

Hey guys! So I burnt LOTS of um... stuff onto dvd so I could watch it in my room. The burn worked fine. I used divx player. I checked the dvd on my PC, all the files worked fine it seemed. I took the dvd to my room, popped it into my dvd player... and only a few clips work. Most of the stuff I downloaded wasn't there. I checked the dvd on the dvd player in the living room, same with that. Only a few files worked.

Any solutions/suggestions?

Can the dvd players you have support DIVX? normally has a sticker on, mine does anyway

Huh... I don't know... Could I use a seperate program to burn them or something?

Anything I can do short of buying a new dvd player?

are all your files in either pal or ntsc?

that's funny, i have trouble watching normal dvds on my burnt dvd player.
