Ding dong AVP is dead + Predator Returns?

I've always been more of an Alien fan, even though I hate #3 and Resurection. I actually prefer Predator 2 over the first... I know, I know. I stand by my choices :o

I'm a newbie Predator fan, I saw the first film and I thought it was awesome. On the other hand, I'm not too curious to see the second film since I heard that it's not all that.

I think Predator 3 would be great if it is set in the authentic jungle location and I'm not really expecting the return of Arnold although that would be awesome but as long it has a badass action hero type actor, I'm just fine. On the other hand, I have doubts about how Fox will handle but lets wait and see. It would also be awesome if John McTiernan directs it.

I wouldn't complain if there was a Predator 3 or a reboot even...just as long as the source material is honored....but since this is Fox, that won't happen.

They'll probably set the reboot in PeeWee's Playhouse and make the predator look like a f***ing Tellytubby.

'Any time. Laaa laaa.'

The Predator is literally the most convincing alien lifeform Hollywood has ever come up with. I love the Preds, they are my favourite movie monsters (even moreso than werewolves).

They were definitely more convincing alien lifeforms, I usually tend to dislike alien movies but I really liked the first Predator.

Also, I think they're the anti-cliche movie monsters.

John Davis: I think we’ve logically done what we could’ve done with the two AVP movies.

Space, freaking Space! Done what could've been done? The franchise was nothing but poorly handled. It's quite a task to take two great franchises and turn them into a single medicore one. I'm hoping for a reboot or a proper sequel in a couple years.

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to see the creatures go their separate ways.

Shhh....keep them believing they've done it all. We dont need another AvP....

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Seriously, when will they stop aiming these movies at kids. :whatever::funny:

I was watching the first two Predators the other day, and I'm still waiting for that sequel. I don't want a reboot, remake, or reanything else. I want a Predator 3 movie that follows the same time line as the first two. I would love to see a Yautja/Predator in the Middle East stalking some U.S. soldiers. I think they could do some big wonders with that if done properly.

And for the love of God don't push for a PG-13! I'm not saying that a movie has to be rater R to be good, but something like a Predator movie should even be close to PG-13. A 7 foot tall alien brutally murdering people would be too bloody to tone down. If they tone it down too much we'd get another Live Free or Die Hard.:csad:

I've got mixed feelings over the 'end' of AVP. The first one sucked, but I thought the second one was a step in the right direction. I was hoping for one based in the future with the Colonial Marines thrown in for a three-way battle.

But I'm not opposed to a new Predator film. A film as good as or even better than the first two anyway.

Predator 2 is okay, it's a fun movie to waste an hour & 30 minutes.
McTiernan is in trouble for lying to the government or something, that's why he didn't direct "Live Free or Die Hard".

1: ****ING YAUTJA ISNT CANON! I hate that word!

2: Reboot simply means they are IGNORING the AvP films. They're trying to get Dutch back for a cameo...so, its basicly a sequel, just without that crap they pulled in AvP-Rectum.

LOL. Yeah I don't think reboot in this case means the whole series just the pile of pure ass known as the AVP movie series.

1. Yautja isn't canon? Ah well, you live and you learn. Then after learning you eat some Cool Ranch Doritos while drinking Cream soda.:yay:

2. I'm fine with a reboot if it sticks to the same storyline like you're saying. I'm just afraid that a reboot will turn into a remake of the first movie. I love that movie to death, but I don't want to see the jungle stalking again. I think the Predator movies should be about the environment. We saw the Amazon first, and then a huge urban city like L.A. Now I want to see a desert, or mountain scene. I could see some creative things happening with a Predator hunting in those type of areas.

And :hehe: @ AvP-Rectum

I do agree they need to do something different. No jungle or city.

Yautja is a book only thing. Its never in the comics (which arent canon either). Movies only.
