The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Director's Cut

WTF does Avengers have to do with anything? Are you talking about IM3's reviews or something?

If TASM2 had been a better film, it would have gotten better reviews. Plain and simple.

It was just one example of a cbm being hailed as the best, not unlike Spider-Man 3, and then later on people find flaws with it.

Look, imo, the general audience matters more than critics. TASM 2 is better with the GA. The GA make up most of the market. If they like it we should take their opinion into account/

Anyway SM3 is the worst Spidey movie made.

Did you see it? Sally Field is Aunt May!

But it was already a perfect Spider-Man film. It couldn't have been better. The critics are just...fanboys. :o

I would rather see more of Giamatti's Alexi over Parker disco-dancing and his emo haircut. I cannot understand to the life of me why people don't like his character. Electro, sure, but The Rhino is suppose to be a big, dumb brute. Giamatti handled him well.

But yeah, I'd like to see an extended cut of "SM3" but it probably will never happen.

Yes! And Denis is Gwen father! *twist*

:wow:

So? That literally has nothing to do with what we are discussing, like...at all. SM2 is still considered one of the greats, and the crown jewel of the Spider-Man films. Marc Webb will likely be remembered as living in the specter of Raimi's films, or at best "it was better than Spider-Man 3"...and even that could be pushing it.

U want to hate it!!! is perfect!!! spidey has webshooters and jokes!!!! Plot and story be damned Spidey has jokes!!!!

Haha, okay. Whatever you say. :oldrazz:

At least this film didn't have Emo Peter.

Whether or not you feel they matter more, or whatever, it's disingenuous to overlook the salient points critics make just because they're not the GA (or really, because they're not telling you what you want to hear, let's be honest). That's all I see fans of this movie doing.

On the other hand, the GA could be likened to a mob, and the mob mentality rarely presents well reasoned arguments. What quotes can you drum up from the GA that are in any way accurate, honestly? "It was awesome!!!111" "Epic movie!!!" "OMG Spidey!!!"?

Either way, if we're debating what movie is better than what, I'd rather hear quotes from the individual I'm discussing it with that an arbitrary aggregate. The only time critics or the GA should be brought up is if something either of them said is in any way representative of your feelings on the movie. Otherwise, this critics vs the audience thing is a pissing contest.

I liked the film but it had problems and flaws I wish they fix already for part 3. I would have liked to see a longer Goblin fight at the end, that was way too short.

Ohhh fanboys are soo funny.

This guy..

Rocks!

Hey Miles what is your favorite deleted scene?

But it did have a Cheesier-than-a-90s-Bond Henchmen, and a billion times worse Edward Nygma...and emo Harry Osborn. So it has that going for it!

At least Electro had a motivation.

"Oh no mr wayne thinks my invention is dangerous imma become the riddler now." is in no way better than "This dude.. my idol, he set me up, he made me walk into that bullet... he took the spotlight off me... he hates me... they all do, I was invisible... never again."

Harry is not emo...

RHINO was perfect, I'd take cheesy RHINO over the Sympathetic Sandman any day of the week.

Agreed. :word:

I haven't seen any for TASM 2 yet :oldrazz:, but overall, I'm pretty bummed that they removed Connor's family from TASM1.

I also want to see where the Oscorp Spying on Peter sub-plot would've gone.

I'm not sure how everyone else can relate to this, but never in my life have I seen a DC fix a bad movie. To those of you who thought this one was such a perfect Spider-Man adaptation...why on earth do you want more, then? To me, that suggests that the movie is more full of holes and incomplete than some of you let on, but I could be wrong.

What was it, exactly? All I got was "I'm a nobody. I hate myself, it's my birthday, birthday, birthday, I want the power grid back" lol

Actually it was moreso "the man who is my Idol, that I've worked under for years, has completely and totally shot down my invention that I've been working on. Max was "Spider-Man saved me...we're bffs...wait...he doesn't know my name...in the LARGEST CITY IN THE WORLD...where he saves nameless people on a daily basis. lol

Harry is not emo...

He has the same type of hair Peter has in SM3, therefore he must be.

RHINO was perfect, I'd take cheesy RHINO over the Sympathetic Sandman any day of the week.

Rhino...perfect...lmao.

I have no issues with Garfield or Stone. At all. Quite frankly, I feel sorry for him. I like him in the role, and liked Stone in the role....hell, they're pretty much the only solid parts of TASM2. Garfield's Peter sucked in TASM1, but that was moreso the writing than him. It's Webb and Sony that I take problem with, as it is them who continue to run the Spider-Man franchise into the ground.

We want more because it could be even better.

DC had an extended Green Lantern cut, but didn't really make it much better...
