Directors(unrated cut) DVD

Am i the only one here who would like a director's cut DVD to be released, I think it would be better than the theatrical version of the film. It would of course include all the stuff that was cut and would be like x-men 1.5, underworld, and Mr. and Mrs. smith.

Yeah I think that's where the problem is. You could get some special features on the making of X3, blooper reels, etc. But aside from the missing tidal wave scene, what you see as far as footage is pretty much what there is.

How about all the alternate endings. Beast staying in the mansion instead of going into the UN, Logan leaving the mansion to go back to the bar, Rogue not taking the cure, and Rogue and Bobby kissing. Hopefully they'll put those in the dvd.

But most of those weren't actually filmed. They were scripted but my understanding is there's no existing footage of any of that.

I'm pretty sure that Beast staying at the X-Mansion was filmined. There is a promo photo of it somewhere, Beast standing next to Storm as they great the new students. Plus I'm pretty sure there is a shot of Logan in the bar too, but the background is blurred and quite ambiguous.

Well, apparently Anna said that there were two versions of her character's decisions, where she takes the cure and where she doesn't.

And there is a picture of Beast with Storm and Iceman in the mansion that's at the end of the movie.

after seeing Superman - I've no problem with how this turned out

X3 was pretty good

I'm sure we will get a decent amount of extra's and footage, but I can't see it coming out straight away. It will probably be like the X-Men 1.5 DVD.

Fox has put a number of Extended cuts and rereleases out(Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Day after tomarrow, I'Robot, Man on fire, Ice Age) so I think we could possibly see one for X:3.

Fox loves to double dip. X-Men is suscufull, therefore there is no need to rush a directoes cut to market. Immedate dc's are reserved for films that did not do that well at the box office ( Elektra, DD ). Just like FF, they will release the DVD within 2 to 3 months of the closing of the movie, then mabey a year later, release the dc of the movie. I may be wroung, bit in this instance I doubt it.

FOX double dips on almost all their summer blockbusters, usually with extended/director's cuts. BUT, the x-franchise seems to have lost out with those extended cuts. We never saw a true extended cut of X1 (and even the one we got was missing footage still..), and never saw a double-dip of X2 (that one I could care less about though, I'm fine with the current version). I mean they gave extended cuts to AVP, Elektra, most likely will with Fantastic 4 next year, but it doesn't seem like the x-men will ever get any of that love.. atleast not with X1 or X3, which kind of deserve it.

We had to wait nearly 2 years for a Daredevil DC... which was a killer, because I remember hearing an announcement like 2 months or so after the theatrical release, then that Christman it got pushed back to April, then in April it got pushed back to Christmas again. Was worth the wait though.. the DC was a much better film than what we saw in the theatre.

Singer and the dvd producer (Rob Burnett) wanted to do it. They said that theres some material from X2 they'd like to add whether thats extra footage or unseen featurettes and designs we don't know.

I'd like some kind of extended version of X3 too but some how i don't think theres enough demand for it.
