Even with good health insurance, carrying a baby to term costs several thousand dollars. Maybe pro-lifers should focus on that. I'll also suggest:

- 10 additional sick days for pregnant women, and 5 for their partners.
- Maternity leave begins at 37 weeks gestation, lowered to 30 weeks for parents of multiples. Paid through social security, with premiums increased in accordance.
- child tax credit has a $5,000 increment in the first year, indexed to inflation.

I'm confident that pro lifers will agree with this ;-)
