Thank Goodness.

But I get a feeling "Top Kill" won't work, too much mud is being blown out by the leak for anything to be done

Yeah. All day today it has been reported that the 'top kill' was 'right on schedule' and 'everything is going according to plan'. Then we find out that they STOPPED FOR 16 HOURS BECAUSE IT WASN'T WORKING!

As every day passes, BP looks more and more shady.

That's cause they wanted their stock to rally (which it did) so people can unload and cut their losses. Directly or indirectly (some etfs been hammered cause of BP).

Anderson Cooper was ripping the hell out of BP for misleading the public for 16 hours while the top kill was stopped. They had their spinmeisters going on TV saying that the operation was going well. What a crock.
Obama also said that his administration is closely watching BP and instructing them what to do so did they also know???

What pisses me off more than the actions or rather the inactions of BP , is that Obama finally got off his ass after this thing got way worse. It's kinda too late for that now dude. If he was a true leader he would've been on this as soon as it was clear BP wasn't gonna do a thing.

Cooper brought up that question. He said the head of the Coast Guard did not know. He also said they talked to senior White House officials and they said the administration knew but Obama himself might not have known. I don't know if they're admitting he's a puppet or what, but it sure sounds like it. :hehe:

To be fair, he did go down there in early May during the early stages of it. The thing is, if he had taken the operation over, a lot of people would have cried fascism, socialism, yada yada yada. "Let the private company handle its business." There's a lot of hypocrisy on this thing from both sides of the aisle IMHO. You've got righties who whine about big government saying he needs to get involved while at the same time you have righties saying he shouldn't get involved at all. Then you have lefties who blamed Bush during Katrina that are now defending Obama's incompetence during a similar crisis while at the same time you have lefties that are hammering him for it. Neither side can make up their mind which way they want to go on this issue. :hehe:

What redfirebird said. But also keep in mind that it is very difficult to determine just what BP can and will do.

I usually take the stance that those that are closest to a problem are the most aware of it and best suited to handle it. Not to say that they cant get help, but I say BP should have had backup plans for such an occasion. Obama is just a politician. Politicians cant do anything right.

weird. You look at the live feed and a whole new flow has come up on he right right side. I don't remember that being there yesterday
