of course it's real.
but i aint riding no bike to work, and i'm guessing you all aren't either.:o

*looks out the window in Jan 05 in Mass* "Record levels of snowfall since the blizzard of 78" Well ya know It's going to to take more than a weather change to keep planet Earth down. The Earth is built to last. We've gone through meteor showers,The Ice Age,Earthquakes,Volcanos,Astroids,The A-Bomb and we're still here! By the time the USA becomes too hot to live in,We'll have matched the time the Dinosours were around with the time mankind has been around. The Earth changes all the time, maybe the next vaction spot will be The Artic.....in 4 million years.

Why are you brainwashed by the politicians and oil companies? that's what I don't understand.

Actually our next vacation spot will be sooner than 4 million years in the Artic, they plan on building space stations on the Moon by 2020 and have man walk on Mars by 2035.

So by 3000, we might actually be spawning on different planets.

I doubt we'll be living on differant planets...only planet earth has the correct tempature to produce life, where there is water, there is life.

For those fools who think global warming is just liberal propoganda...

global warming is very real...just like global cooling (which can cause Ice Ages). Earth started off as nothing but fire and lava, it's not so farfetched to think our world can get so hot that all of the ice can melt. please educate yourself and see what you can do. spread the word.

Meh, the climates been fluctuating fine without us for thousands of years.

and it will continue to fluctuate fine without us for thousands of years if everyone keeps that frame of thought.

Yes, that's true, but usually it's much more gradual, taking thousands of years instead of hundreds. We're speeding up the process to the point that very few animals will be able to adapt and survive. Also we are not doing anything to protect our coastal cities/towns from the known rise in water that will occur while the Polar ice cap melts.

What? we'll be fine, whatever happens. Even if we have to live in little Domes.

100 years down the line there really isnt going to be any natural environment left on this planet cos over population would have caused us to spread everywhere.

This whole "save the world" thing isnt going to work, its just delaying the inevitable. The sooner we get rid of it and get along with progression the better.

No it's not. They said we were "cooling" back in 1976.

Look up Newsweek Magazine April 28, 1976.

They don't know what's going on.

Things operate in cycles. Things change and then return.

We'll be fine.

ow!!!

the ignorance/arrogance of some people......it hurts my brain!!!

aw...did i hurt your feelings? it's okay...according to you guys the Earth will continue to do what it does no matter what we do so in a few decades this all shouldn't matter.

Yep, we'll all be fine.
I think you've seen 'The Day After Tomorrow' one too many times.

Naah....no feelings hurt. It's just amusing to see how people with different views are welcomed into the discussion.

Name-calling is always a great "ice-breaker". LOL :yay:

if a man is dying with a group of people circled around him with a few people saying "oh that's natural, he'll be fine"...you think they'll be welcomed much? don't think so...

...we're killing/sickening our Earth and if we continue to do what we're doing it'll do what it needs to do in order to heal itself, even if that means wiping out the "disease" that's making it sick. if that's what you mean when you guys say "we'll be okay" then i guess you guys would be right.

ignorance and arrogance aren't names you call someone...they're traits that a person has. yes, i know it was wrong of me to go there and i shouldn't have but it almost DOES hurt my head when people act like everything is okay when it's obviously not.

anyone who's educated in the way the Earth works can't look at those pictures i've posted and say "we'll be okay".

Do you have any aerial photos from saaaay.....1763? 1630?? 1553??

1415?? I mean, how do any of us know how those melted photos looked that far back? How we know if what is frozen now was not once melted?? Or vice versa.........

300 A.D. ??? 463 B.C. ???? How do we know how those areas looked then??

We don't know. This big ol' planet has taken a pounding from us for centuries and keeps on ticking. World Wars, famines, pollution, Nuclear testing........

I honestly think that as long as we doing have an all--out nuclear war.....the earth replentishes herself. Rain cleans the atomsphere. The ground filters the water....etc....

We need to do our due diligence in some conservation. But let's not panic! :yay:
