I have been doing a lot of research on adoptions from foreign countries which I guess is a political hot topic, especially with Russian Adoptions being the biggest issue in the news. I was wondering if anyone else feels the way I do and thinks the problem with Russian Orphans being abandoned by Western parents starts within Russia itself. It is pretty well known that Russia in general psychological scars these children from the get go because the "caregivers" are not the most nurturing and compassionate people on Earth. Does it not seem very suspect that most Russian or former Soviet Satellite country orphans who are adopted by Western parents are a psychological mess that concerned foreign parents can't control? It's almost like certain foreign countries want to pawn the guilt of their own neglect onto those that take these unwanted "burdens" off their hands. But the blame is clearly on Russia or any country that abuses it's orphans for creating such traumatized, behaviorally stunted kids. Just watch this video if you want the truth about how Orphans are treated before being adopted.

Warning! This is a graphically disturbing video of blatant child abuse by a Russian Orphanage "Caregiver".

The world needs to start holding these countries responsible for creating these kids that parents are so terrified of they do the unthinkable thing of abandoning them. The Russian Government is far from the innocent party they claim themselves to be.

Realistically speaking, the number of Russian children being abandoned / abused in the United States, utterly pails in comparison to the widespread abuse going on in the Russian orphanages and state institutions. This is really just politics at its worst. It has nothing to do with concern about children's welfare.

I think it's awful that the Russian Government, rather than fix this issue is pawning off their damaged children to concerned, childless couples and blaming these parents for not being able to take care of children they have abused.
