Just to be clear, "I'M" far left on the political spectrum, but that doesn't mean I dismiss atrocities by anyone. To repeat what I've said before, what Hamas did on 10/7 was inexcusable and so was the response by the Israeli government; the main problem being that it's lead by someone who probably would be more suited for jail than a seat of power. There HAS to be a political solution that recognizes the rights of the Palestinian people.

My belief is that a terrible, terrible decision made over 75 years ago in the middle east is the real reason we're seeing the problems we have now.

And, yes, Netanyahu doesn't report to the US president.

I'm a moderate Democrat and I agree with all of this. Why? Because it's perfectly reasonable. I don't get why th>s is so hard for the far right to get.

She'll push the conversation where it needs to go like universal healthcare, stricter regulation on businesses, worker's rights, raising the minimum wage, wealth tax, sanctions on Israel, renewable resources and agriculture, and pushing regulations for AI and algorithms for social media companies.

AOC doesn't have a national constituency. The demographics of the voters in her district in NY don't match the national voter demographics. IIRC her district is majority non-Hispanic white while nationally that is not the case at all. It won't be for a while past the 2040s until that happens. And then there's her positions which also are not mainstream and even if young people support them, they are not registered to vote nor do they participate at the rate that older voters do.

I'm not hoping she run like now but more like 2028 or 2032. The good thing about a strong Progressive voice in a primary is they refocus the conversation on actual issues.
