Belle appears during the film's second musical number, the sequence in which Quasimodo sings "Out There" from atop the roof of the Notre Dame cathedral. As the camera slowly pans down and along a street reminiscent of Belle's home town in Beauty and the Beast towards a small group of people, Belle appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, walking and reading a book (and wearing her blue dress, of course). In the same scene, a sharp-eyed viewer can catch glimpses of a rooftop satellite dish, The Lion King's Pumbaa being carried by two men with a pole, and a street merchant shaking out the flying carpet from Aladdin.

Another of the self-referential bits of humor that have appeared in Disney films (most notably Aladdin) of late, Belle's cameo reportedly came about after a storyboard artist included her in the scene as a joke because both Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame are set in France (albeit in quite different time periods).

if i hear something about Beauty and the Beast, I will be highly disappointed cuz that's my fave disney movie of all.

I haven't heard anything sexual about that movie, but I know some references it's made to other movies.(Sound of Music, West Side Story, Wizard of Oz)

talking about aladdin, i heard a rumor that if you listen to the scene in the cave loud, you can hear an expletive or something. i can't remember, but maybe someone else does

I heard that Lumiere appears to have an extra "candle" in one scene.

Pixar and Disney have been doing that for years. Its nothing new.

actually all these are true.. why? disney animators did it to be funny (we learned it in class) most movies and cartoons sneak alot of stuff.. more then just disney.. but its not all perverted.. its stuff about other animators or there bosses.. etc... its all fun and games

The Little Mermaid one is a myth. It is his knee or something.

No, it's actually quite true. I have The Little Mermaid on both VHS and dvd. On my original VHS version the priest DOES have a *****. On the dvd they completely edited it out.
