Wait did Rian Johnson's new series get cancelled? I don't think there was a mention of it at least from the Twitter topic

I'm a bit concerned about them making shows that exist mostly to prop up other shows, there's some worrying signs of that in Mandalorian, but it feels very natural to me that a big part of Star Wars future is TV shows. The format and pace suit it so perfectly.
The usual issue with that is that it burdens the show doing it (in the way that Iron Man 2 suffered), but Mando hasn't suffered at all. If the show doing it doesn't suffer I don't see the problem.

It's a movie series, and it's just not been discussed yet. If it's cancelled, they haven't said anything about that, if it's happening they also have said nothing in a while. So Schrodinger's cancellation for now, I guess.

Comics have lived on this for over 70 years.

I mean at least they did bring back Emilio Estevez which does get me a bit interested in it. Also, as a 90's kid Mighty Ducks was something special for me as a kid.

It may not be dead, but last I knew, the GOT dumbies were involved, and they have bailed, so it may be something that is on the backburner for a while.

That was two separate things I thought

Star Wars Visions series of animated short films from anime creators, 10 episodes with each from a different Japanese anime studio.

Oooh, I’m really intrigued by this one. Wonder which studios they got? Trigger? Ufotable? Wit? Kyoto Animation?

Still a bit confused about why they went with this Beauty and the Beast show but alright, Luke Evans'll be fun I'm sure.

this is s joke - no footage and no release dates
this for i‘m staying up...

I think the Ahsoka episode of the Mandalorian deliberately had a very different look and feel from the other eps, because that show is gonna have a much more Eastern, samurai-esque feel in general. I’d imagine they will be making similarly concerted efforts to keep these shows from feeling “same-y.”

well, with that pace they‘re going (Andor announced 2 years ago and now almost 2 more years wait), we‘ll could expect that whatever Lando series and Acolyte (animated? live-action?) probably in 2024
With the number of shows announced (and the number of Marvel shows already into production), there is gong to be nonstop content coming out. While waiting for any one particular project there will be another 20 to keep people going. :cwink:

Ooo a show shot in Vancouver, never seen that one before. :o

Disney continues to make other studios look bad.
Some of those other studios are doing a good job of making themselves look bad, but yeah, I can imagine some green exec eyes from other studios right now.
