Visually amazing.

It does look gorgeous and I expect it to be a good but I am never in love with Disney trailers for their animated films

Things I've learned while searching for these gifs:
1) Depending on who you ask, Disney selling Moana costumes may or may not be considered cultural appropriation
2) Tumblr really, really likes Moana's hairbun.

Trailers for animation are rarely as good as the actual product. If I went by Big Hero 6's trailer I never would've watched it.

I agree. I skipped The Emperor's New Groove in theaters because the trailer made it look stupid. Now it's one of my faves!

This trailer makes it look like the movie is about Dwayne Johnson's character and Moana's just his sidekick. But then the trailers for Frozen made it look like it was about Olaf...

Really because this trailer made it look much more like her movie to me. I mean most of the trailer was about her destiny.

I actually love Frozen, but when I saw the teaser trailer for it when it was released, my reaction was: "What. The. F***. This is the movie? Really? It's gonna suck so hard."

I've learned not to take animation trailers too seriously. Remember the ones for Kung Fu Panda?

The visuals look fantastic. I think I would've preferred if the title character were a little older though, more like Elsa or Anna's age.

"Cultural appropriation" is such an ugly phrase. Anyone who has any kind of interest in another culture or likes the look of something from another culture is accused of it like they are being disrepsectful or malicious.

People who want to be offended will find something to be offended by.

It's one thing to wear a costume, but it's another to wear another person's skin color as a costume. It shouldn't be an issue for children to dress up as other fictional characters of a different culture, but it's kind of a not too thought out idea with that skin on it.

People are blowing the costume thing way out of proportion. Wrestling costumes have been doing the same thing for years and no one complained. Other than the mask, how is it so different from this?
