The teaser trailer for recent Disney films have been very underwhelming so I'm keeping my expectations low. They're usually scenes that aren't even in the film (ie the Olaf/Sven scene for Frozen, the definition of Zootopia teaser, etc).

Very excited for this film though, especially thanks to Lin-Manuel Miranda's involvement!

I know frozen and zootopia are big now, bit I'd hope future trailers add little mermaid and Aladdin as well since Musket and Clements are Directors.

Beautiful. Moana isn't as wide as her concept art but she still has more meat than most of the past Disney princesses.

That's nothing new. It's no different than Aladdin's marketing campaign focusing heavily on the Genie because of Robin Williams's star power. There'll be a ton of Moana merchandise but I guess they want to showcase that The Rock is in this fresh out of the gate.

Sometime in the last seven years CGI animation finally reached a point where it consistently has the amount of stretch and squish and expressiveness available in traditional animation. It's been really good to see.

Oh I definitely can't wait for this! The animation is as gorgeous as I was hoping it would be and we've only been given a teaser of it. I wonder if the old hag in the tat on Maui's torso is gonna be the villain?
