Disney's Tangled

I'm surprised Disney hasnt done a Rumpelstiltskin movie yet.

yeah there's plenty but Disney need to do these retellings without repeating themselves..

I would love to see a Disney version of the Nutcracker

I saw that, but I want the real Nutcracker story fully animated in a feature length. It's a pretty good little fantasy tale, and had good themes about growing up, etc. If released at Christmas it could do really well.

i could see The Nutracker being made into a feature...

I don't really wish to see another version of the Nutcracker

Rumplestilskin would be a good one

I could also see Hansel and Gretel

Has Disney done a version of Red Riding Hood?

I'ld rather Disney interpreted a story I hadn't heard a thousand times before. Maybe something based on Egyptain mythology using characters like Osiris or Horus maybe.

While this Rapunzel film looks pretty good, a Rumpelstiltskin animated movie would rock.

If they were to ever make one, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they get Jim Carrey to do the voice work for him.

The only problem is that, last I heard, Rumpelstiltskin is going to be the villian in...ugh..."Shrek Forever After" (dear God that was painful). This might make dumbasses-I mean...the general audience confused if Disney made their own Rumpelstiltskin movie after Shrek.

I didn't bother with part 3 so no matter how much I liked the story of Rumplestiltskin...I don't think I'll be watching a fourth Shrek film.

I enjoyed the 1st one and thought the 2nd was just alright, they should have stopped their.

Doesn't really surprise me that they might use him since these movies are a mix mash of famous fairytale characters. After three films they definitely to grab at whatever characters they haven't used yet.

It looks beautiful...but I feel like i'm Disney'ed out. But dang...it looks good. That might be enough to bring me in.

This will end up like The Princess and the Frog in that it will probably get great reviews from the critics, debut at #1 and then dramatically fall off after that, not making back it's budget domestically. Likely because it's not Pixar.

Because if it's a Disney animated movie that isn't Pixar, it will not have the staying power at the Box office that the Pixar films will have. It's sad, but it's true.

i personally felt that it was just a very crowded season for Fall movies in November this past year.

True. And the lack of advertising was appalling! I remember in the 90s, ABC & Disney Channel went balls out promoting their animated films.

What the Hell, Disney, get Viral!

I wouldn't mind seeing Disney adapt more Edgar Rice Burroughs' series (They did Tarzan and are doing John Carter of Mars) like the Venus or Hollow Earth series. Or the epic of Gilgamesh.

so...is this going to be traditional 2d animated, CG, or 3d??

As far as I recall it's cg made to look like it's 2D?

Yeah, I think that's basically what they've said about it. They want to make it 3D but make it 'feel' like a traditional 2D film like older Disney films

odd that out of all the fairy tales Disney has adapted they're just now getting to Rapunzel...

I'd like to see them adapt Little Red Riding Hood someday as well...
