Do any of the non-believers on here at least enjoy the Bible as literature?

I suppose I do. My favourite aspect of it has always been Judas, the betrayer, and a lot of it is still pretty rich, particularly the Gospel of John.

Yeah, it's a pretty sweet fantasy novel.

Yep, it's good to know about the Bible to be able to criticize it. :O Also, some of the Ancient Testament stories are very beautiful (Ruth, Deborah).

I don't hate the bible but I don't follow it either(I'm a buddhist), its a pretty interesing.

Its been years since I read it through....

I enjoy watching things on the history channel about things regarding the Bible.

Actually i just made that up cause i couldn't think of anyplace that sells
Bibles.:(

I really like the reoccurences of certain numbers throughout the Bible(3, 7, 40).

Reminds me of the reoccurences of 19 in The Dark Tower series.

I find the Bible and the Quran quite entertaining its like a fantasy novel, I put it up their with Stephen kings books.

I don't read Stephen King books.
Most just because he's ugly.

I wish somebody would rewrite it though
more action and stuff

They should make it into a movie trilogy.
Like the Lord of the Rings!

The Bible's got some very good points and some very bad points. But all in all, I like the good points. "Let he who is free of sin cast the first stone." Always liked that.

Yes! a final action filled showdown between Jesus and the devil in the end!

There is tons of action in the Bible. Remember when Jesus shot a man in Nazareth just to watch him die? Remember that?

There is a comic book version...

But it's kinda hokey

Yes, but I'm talking about the actual literature aspect of it. I like a lot of the Bible's message, but that's not necessarily at discussion here.

That image in the lower left looks like a porn scene is about to happen.

To better appreciate some of the subtlety of the bible, I've heard you need to learn Hebrew and/or Greek, some parts are essentially poetry

I rather like Exodus. Epic, and I'm into the whole overcoming oppressive authority thing.
