I loved Batman Begins, but after watching this, do you almost wish the franchise has this kind of feel or vibe to it? Like even the costume. I lawyas figured it would be silly, but it looks awesome. I'd love to see this kind of Batman running around investigating, showing up in sleazy locations to get information. I thought this was really cool.

That's a very fun little fanvid, but I'll take BB over a bodybuilder who can only say one-liners, a Joker who can't act and...erm, Aliens anyday.

i'd hope a professional production never looks like that. it's comic accurate and there are a couple of cool shots but i don't think Dead End was that great...even visually.

the only thing I wish is that we could have multiple movies on a character but in separate continuities. just like there are a couple different batman comics, there could be a couple different batman movies. only problem there is oversaturation, it'd have to be made by the same studio who has the rights, multiple actors playing the same character ... yeah, wouldn't work. but it'd be nice. I wouldn't mind a separate batman series going on as well; of course, that's because I'm a fan. I'd go see it.

You me like a Batman Beyond, or DKR movie series running along Nolan's films?

Yeah, that would be sweet, but it'll never happen. As you said: Oversaturation.

Nolan needs to capture the mythical aura of batman that burton and this guy nailed.

I was never fond of Dead End, but that one shot of Bats crouching, and then slowly rising up in the puddle is pure VISUAL BLISS. I mean, I'd even argue that beats any shot in BB.

I'd LOVE to see that recreated for this franchise. Just so damn mystical and eery.

I give credit were it's due, some of thes fan films are very, very good. And even Better than at least one of the big Hollywood Batman movies.

The 8 minutes in "Dead end" is better that the 2 hour of crap in 'Batman and Robin'. And the feel of the movie is very much what a Batman movie should feel like.

Burton got it in his first movie, Nolan nail it moreso with Begins.

But if you think this is a good fanfilm you should go to 'Bat in the sun' webpage and look at teh fan films "Legend" and especially "Patient J", which gives a very interesting look and insight for the Joker.

Yeah, i noticed that myself. That WAS pretty cool.

Yeah Legend was very cool. I love that version of the Joker and Harley....also; have you ever noticed the scene when Bane injects his venom steroid, you can actually see his biceps expand? I wonder if that part was animated or something...?

ive seen that loads of times, its alright but not as good as the proper films ( it was made by some college students)

I agree it was good, but its the music that makes that shot, but then again what shot doesn't Walkers music make lol.

I'll take Dead End over Begins.

Sandy Collora Rules.

Comic Version beats Movie Version IMHO>

"Can that Nolan guy, get me Sandy Collora." WB Exec.

I.C.I.T.
In Collora I Trust

This is a neat fanfilm but I'm still happy with Batman Begins.

Dead End is terribly overrated.
Somebody please go tell Collora that not all things that work on paper, that means comic books, need to work on screen. Cause no matter how much fantasy element the comic books may have, taking themselves not too seriously at times, making a mock video out of Batman with a Terminator wannabe in the main role with a catterpillar eyebrows Joker amids a portfolio of a special effect showdown, is by far not the best way to show appreciation for the character. It's somewhat equal to a smack to the face. You cant translate the comic book word-for-word to the screen. That works only in Sin City. Even giving A for Effort to Sandy for trying to bring the original feel of the comic books to the films, this is not how you go on about making the movie, cause a movie, no matter how many times you slice it, is something more than a translation, it's an Interpretation. What Dead End is a futile attempt at animating the comic book pages. It did not work, not for me at least.
The only good thing about this movie was the cape handling. That was seriously cool. But really, how can you take such a movie seriously? When Sandy himself went out and stated it was nothing more than a Portfolio / Special Effect Fest.

And the Spiderman movies don't look anything like the comics?
The Dark Knight Returns would be ground breaking if it was shot in the style of Sin City. And what about 300, they said they tried to make it look like the comic, er, graphic novel.

Nolan's interpretation is a smack in the face.

Actually no, The Spider-man movies are not EXACTLY like the comics, they also take liberties. The only, almost word-to-word translation is Sin City as of now.
I have yet to watch 300 so I am not saying anything about that.

First let me say, Dead End in comparison to nearly anything is, IMO, absolutely dreadful. There's no plot to speak of, horrible dialogue, and acting that's even worse. Not to mention the utter silliness of Batman fighting Aliens and Predators.

That said, would I mind seeing a Batman costume like that in a movie that's actually good? Would I mind seeing a visual style similar to that in a movie? I'd be fine with both, actually. Considering, of course, they were both improved and refined (as any big-budget film should be).

The Dark Knight Returns would be ground breaking if it was shot in the style of Sin City.

ugh...no thanks. This style worked fro Sin City due to the nature of the book, but TDKR? There would be no reason to do this.

I either want that baby animated or live action(no s**t green screen).

Dead End had some great shots in it, but the dialogue, especially Joker's, was terrible. This was fun, and for $3k budget was neat. Makes you wonder, what if it had a $200 million budget?

dont get me wrong, i love how comic based movies just take an over view of every comic ever written about a character over the past 80 some years and create a movie series with some of those stories and diffrent incarnations for screen purposes, BUT i would also like it if they just as studious do with novel adaptions, just base a movie off of one single series, like dkr movie just based directly off dkr, or long halloween base3d just off LH, or hush, or no man's land, or KNIGHTFALL! u no what i mean?

Guys, for a FAN FILM, this is very well done. You are judging it too harshly. Seriously, what do you expect with a fan film? For the resources Collora had, this is very well done.

The fans that like DeadEnd like because they began with the comics. A GA would likely say 'nice battle, cool Joker, but Bats looks a guy at a dress-up party"

It's an awesome fan film (well it cost 30k to make) and I like that Collera finally put a comics version of the suit onscreen. But no it wouldn't work for a feature film. No general audience is going to take Batman seriously if he's in tights.

And Spider Man is in a 3 piece Suit?

The original (first 2) Superman movies did pretty well I remember.

Line most outta place from Batman (89), "he's at home, washing his tights."
What tights? He wears rubber.

I don't mean give him some cheesy looking costume, If they can make a latex suit, I'm sure they can find a fabric that doesn't look like spandex. Having worn a latex costume and a homemade "tights" costume, I know which one Bale would prefer for a 12 hr day of shooting. I can't wear a Batman Mask for over 5 minutes without being soaked.
