Do you feel sorry for younger people who "think" they are in love with someone?

I don't.

People who go out with someone and fall in love after 3-4 months and such. People who aren't experienced like most. People have more life ahead of them, and they "believe" that they are deeply in love with someone and they are a soul mate at that young age very quick. I think it's very stupid and naive for them (especially girls, no offense) to believe that, to only break up less than a year later and cry and complain. It's bad enough when someone does it once, but when you do it again, it's just plain stupid. I think it's kinda desperate. I think people just want a relationship so bad, that they don't care and go mindlessly into that stuff. Immaturity is a killer in this situation. Some don't even know what the L word means.

Don't get me wrong, it happens sometimes, but dang, It rarely happens after such a short period of time. Ok, I know some are thinking I am shallow/mean, but it just makes me kinda mad. Gf/Bf is good as hell, don't get me wrong, but you gotta know where to draw that line.

...but that's just me.

I was in love at 16 and 17. And yes, I've reflected on it now that I'm 21 and I still believe that I was in love. Hell, I still think about her a lot. That pretty much proves it.

i feel sorry for 90% of people here.. regardless of whether they're 14 or 35.. in love or still seeking that first "mature" encounter.

But in the larger scheme of things... pity is much better than ridicule.. which I save for our resident 25 year old stalker...

I started this thread because one of my friends knew some dude for 2 days, then started going out with them. Then 6 months later, they broke up and she was crying and s***, knowing what she did wrong, then upped and did something crazy like that again.

I'm only 19 and I know I am in love.

and I believe it is possible. My parents where married younger than I am, and they are still together and I know others who also married young and are still together.

Some people are lucky to get it right the first time.

I can understand being annoyed by that. My situation was that I was friends with this girl for nearly two years before we began going out. It's a bit different.
