I don't.

...but that's just me.

This can be a extremly serious question if asked in the right way.Im glad this question was brought up.Its something i sometimes hear, young people [Around the age of 13-15] saying that they are in love.

That is just sad, they are young. You need to be 20 or older to say that you are in love, you have your live, and you can say such things. Its the american phrase "puppy love" if im right.

I wanna feel what love is.
Bend over and I'll show you.

There is no difference between kids who think they're in love and adults who think they're in love. It's the same biochemical / emotional response in both cases. They are in love if they think they are. Same for everybody. Just because you hold a different standard to what "love" really means once you get older, doesn't mean the feeling isn't genuine for younger people who may have a different (not lesser) understanding of the concept.

The threadstarter does have a point. Some high school romances last a matter of weeks but even after the breakup it can be extremely heartbreaking for a teenager at that age. Of course in hindsight looking back, you do laugh at the way you were. And honestly, you don't even consider some of those high school romances as anything significant.

I don't feel sorry for them. I hate them.

but then again, I hate everyone.
