Well, she's a stone cold criminal now.

Tami Erin Arrested: 'Pippi Longstocking' Star Arrested For Assault

Former child actress Tami Erin was arrested for allegedly assaulting her roommate on Thursday, reports TMZ.

Walnut Creek Police told the website that Erin, who starred in the 1988 children's film "The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking," was placed under a citizen's arrest by a neighbor who heard Erin and her male roommate arguing. According to police, Erin's roommate called out for help and that's when the neighbor rushed over to help.

The actress was released from custody on Friday morning, and the case has been passed on to the District Attorney for review.

The 38-year-old has only completed a handful of projects since starring as Pippi Longstocking, and was last seen in "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! Chrimbus Special" in 2010.

Though Erin has been out of the spotlight for quite sometime, earlier this month she gave an interview looking back on her career and on her role as Pippi Longstocking, which she beat out more than 8,000 other young actresses to play.

"From the time I was 5, I started walking around the house acting like a movie star. I would prance around and touch my hair," she told The Daily Herald, adding that she believed acting was her "destiny."

"This was something that I always knew I was meant to do. It was destiny for me. The way that doors kept opening for me, when I finally became a movie star, on some level it was like, 'Exactly! Finally, I'm here!' I wanted to be a movie star. A real movie star. My dream came true!"

:awesome:

Apropos of nothing: never felt the appeal of Pippi Longstocking, the books or any of the TV shows or movies. And the girl from the first TV adaptation creeped me the hell out as a kid.

Please tell me you are joking, there was an american version of Pippi? I had no idea.

There was but it didn't have the memorable impact of The Neverending Story. Notable names included Eileen Brennan, Dennis Dugan (who directed many of Adam Sandler's recent films) and Dick Van Patten.

Anyone ever see the 1997 animated series?

Well I guess it shouldn't be, it's just that it's so old that I thought I would have known about it.

It barely made an impact at the box office. It came and went.

I read the books and watched a bit of the movie when I was younger.

Holy whatsit?? Who did she play on the Chrimbus Special I wonder...

Edit: UGH! She played the Pasta Bear wife hahah. So disgusting.

I always thought she was the Wendy's girl and she just got amnesia and started believing herself to be this Pippi Longstocking, Pirate/Nazi Hunter. :o

I'll admit , I used to watch it. She grew to be very attractive. Also I believe her side of the story.

If she wasn't attractive would you still believe her?

Of course not. The unattractives are not to be trusted. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! :argh:

Exactly. I was just making sure. I will not put up with trusting unattractive people.

I'm still pissed that the Lindgren estate refused to give Studio Ghibli the rights to make a movie. It would have been what became Kikis Deliviery Service
