Do you have love for your Wii

have you been using your wii practically every day or has it been neglected by another system or just every day life?

i made a poll after reading something on joystiq that said 67% of japanese wii owners dont play their wii as often......

I play it as often as I can. IMO, the Wii is the best system this generation.

I actually play the Wii all the time. All the people who complain the Wii has nothing to play just have no taste. Metroid Prime 3, Trauma Center, and Elebits are all three awesome.

Plus I play Wii Sports and Mario Party 8 with my wife and daughter. They love those two games. My wife has no interest whatsoever in the so called "hardcore" games.

Not to mention that by the time the year ends I have to buy Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Truama Center: New Blood, Godzilla Unleashed, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, Nights: Journey of Dreams, and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Series.

I also have a Wii full of retro game goodness that I try to play regularly.

Also I never owned a Gamecube so I have been collecting games that I wanted to play but never did: Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, and Skies of Arcadia Legends to name a few.

For the first time since the SNES, Nintendo owns my soul.

When i first got it I played it like Mad....Mainly just Wii Sports.....Now I kinda play it now and then....My mom comes over once a week to Bowl.....

Also once a week i go over to my buddy's place and we play Mortal Kombat on his wii for hours.

My Wiiage will go up a lot with SSBB, Mario Kart and SAMATOG

I haven't played with my Wii in months. There really isn't anything I'd want to play on it right now. I'll probably start to play with it again once SSBB is in stores.

havent played it in months, and last time I did I was playing Resident Evil Remake for it, not even a Wii game...the only games I even own for it are Wii Sports and Resident Evil 4...should get some more and use it a bit more when Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Super Mario Galaxy, Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games, SSB, and Mario Kart hit though

Heh, I've also got only two games for the Wii. Of course the first one is Wii Sports and the 2nd one is Red Steel. I didn't even finish that game.

I am hoping to get RE4 and RE Chronicles.....I just love the RE stuff. It gets addictive.

I split my time between the 360 and Wii, depending on how long I plan on playing a game, got Bioshock, Guitar Hero and Super Paper Mario recently. Usually play Mario if I just want to play something for 15-20 minutes, finish a level then turn it off. Bioshock and Guitar Hero are games that suck me in much more and hours fly by when I play those two. Usually depends on what's on TV that night which game I play. Although I'm sure the scales will tip in the Wii's favor once Super Mario Galaxy comes out since I'll probably have beaten Bioshock by then. Really just depends on what games I'm really into at the time which system I play more. Didn't even start playing Bioshock until two weeks after I bought it since I was really into Metroid at the time.

That is what made me and the fiance buy a Wii the choice of games compared to the other 2 was more of a hook.

Yes yes indeed. I can understand why someone would buy a PS3 or 360 and if they are hardcore when it comes to gaming they would dry the respective console game well dry. However the Wii has so much on it that I love to play. Plus more on the way.

RE Chronicles I am looking forward to that one the most. I also have Mario Party 8 and Paper Mario. Paper Mario is a very cool game.

I've not decided what to do with the whole 360/PS3 debacle.

I'm leaning more towards a PS3 at the moment however..The Blu Ray, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, and potential Kingdom Hearts games are making me choose it over the 360 I once had.

The 360 does not have the mega hit games I want. Metal Gear being the biggest game of course. GTA 4 I think will be out for just the PS3???

Could be wrong.

But as I got older my game range grew smaller....I do not pick up as many new games as I once did and stay very loyal to the series I like. It's just that so many games tend to follow the same formular.

Still if this was one year in the future (when all the good games are out) I would say I would go for the PS3 then the Wii then the 360.

Just like I did before I got a PS2 then a GameCube then a Xbox.

I like my Wii a lot. The game situation is worrisome, though. I bought Wii when it came out here in Europe, enjoyed the new Zelda like a proper Nintendofanboy does, but tucked the system into the closet until very recently when they released Super Paper Mario here.

Just yesterday I got confirmation mail that my copy of Metroid Prime 3 is in the mail. It's gonna be agonizing few days, but after so many years, what's a couple days more.

I like the Xbox 360 a lot, too, but I don't have one. Gears of War is visually stunning and Halo 3's multiplayer enormous fun with good people. GTA4 will be out for Xbox 360 also, with some additional content, if I don't remember wrong. Sony has failed pretty miserably with PS3, but I hope that MGS4 will change things - been a fan of the series from the days of NES, and that single game gets me to buy PS3 and I know I can't be the only one.

Over in the MGS4 thread there was an article stating that MGS4 was not coming out on the 360...so any MGS4 fans will have to get a PS3...

There's been articles for and against MGS4 coming to Xbox 360, but PS3 has lost quite a many PS3 ONLY titles, with developers bluntly saying that developing to PS3 is difficult and takes a lot of money, and the games don't sell even as half as much as they would on Xbox 360 and Wii. But who knows. All I know that there's been re-releases of old MGS games for Xbox and Gamecube, after they've been published on a Sony platform. Kojima himself has stated that hardware wouldn't be an issue when considering a possible Xbox 360 port, avoiding to comment any further about the possibilty of seeing MGS4 on Xbox 360.

I think it boils down to how much money Sony is willing to lay on the table to not to loose another exclusive title to another system. I'm guessing a lot, but my current faith in Sony's decision making is nonexistent.

I love my Wii. There was a long period of time where I wasn't using it since I'd beaten all the games I had for it (Twilight Princess, Spider-Man 3 and Ultimate Alliance) but I'm using it a lot now. Just last week I picked up Metroid Prime 3 and Trauma Center: Second Opinion so I've been using it quite a bit when I'm not at work.

On top of that there's quite a few games coming out for it over the next while that I'll be picking up.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Guitar Hero III
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

And those are just for sure buys. There's still others like Zack & Wiki, Trauma Center: New Blood, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and probably others I'm forgetting. Plus there's Smash Bros Brawl coming early next year. The games are coming. People shouldn't be worrying at all anyway. The Wii is only a year old. Just look at the PS2, it didn't exactly have a whole lot during it's first year either.
