I am curious if we will see the Transformers upgrade their bodies where Sable rounds can't kill them or even hurt them. It was hard to accept seeing the Army being able to kill the Decepticons so easily and I know this bothered others as well. It really didn't like how the soldier killed Blackout so easily with a hand weapon. I do understand that they used those certain rounds to burn them but still. I makes the Transformers seem rather weak considering humans who are 1000's of years behind them in technology can hurt them with such inferior weapons. It sort destroys the concept of humans fearing these advanced machines from another planet, takes away alot of the drama. I would imagine since these are machines that they can upgrade. Now the Autobots would realize what can hurt them if the humans did turn agaisnt them and Starscream would also realize this and they would upgrade. Imagine a scene where a Decepticon is attacking and the army comes and they figure there weapons will hurt the Decepticon and when their weapons have no affect, one of the Decepitcons say ''We have adapted to your puny pathetic weapons'' or some affect to that. That to me would make them more lethal and make the Military have to rely soly on the Autobots for protection, the way it should be, Kind of make the Autobots the most important thing on Earth instead of the just help.

Not really. You are vastly underestimating the firepower humanity possesses. But even then it takes high temperature weapons just to hurt them and you would probably waste so many magazines of Sable rounds just to take one out.. See Brawl/Devastator take so much beating from sable rounds and 3 Autobots yet still functions... I think we can at least agree that firing a nuke at them will really blow them up..

I do think for the next movie, we all have seen the introduction of all the characters, now it's time to show the amazing powers they all have. I do believe they going to focus more on the Robots, battles and special powers.

I didn't see a problem with the Decepticons getting killed "easily" by the humans. Look at Scorponok, they had to fire so much at him just to slow him down. Blackout at the end didn't just die because Duhmal(sp?) fired a few times underneath him. That whole time Bumblebee was firing constantly at him, weakening him most likely. In all, I don't believe it was easy for the humans to take them out.

You are also vastly underestimating the power a Transformer possesses. They are 1000's of years ahead of us in Technology, we are like insects to them, it doesn't make that much sense seeing us be able to defeat them so easily. Blackout and Devasticator were defeated quite easily with those Sable rounds. It's like comparing our technology to the technology back in Egypt thousands of years ago. Could any of their weapons hurt a tank? They just depowered the Transformers to much and it sort of makes them less scary to humanity if we can defeat them.

I hope they upgrade in a way that will make it easier to tell one robot from another. :o

1. Insects can and do hurt humans all of the time.

2. I have seen it 3 times, and Devestator was not easily destroyed by these weapons. It was Bumblebee's more advanced arm cannon that gave Devestator the bulk of his mortal blows, although the Sable rounds did injure him.

3. Before Blackout was killed, you can her either Epps, or Lennox say to aim low (beneath the armor) because he is weaker there. He hit just the right spot. He may have hit Blackout's spark instantly destroying him.

4. I dont think it is right to make the Egypt comparison. First off, it says in the movie that our weapons are based on technology from Megatron. Maybe we were able to develop a gun that could penetrate the Transformer armor. Second, we do have fire power, unlike the Egyptions who used rocks and sticks. (maybe some poison darts, or a bow and arrow.. not sure what all they had)

Consider also that they ARE alien...from an alien world. How do we know the metal on their world is stronger than the metal of our world? Maybe it's not. Afterall, Frenzy had projectile weapons, even IronHide had one projectile weapon...which leads us to believe that the metal they are made out of, while alien, is still somewhat basically the same as earth metal.

im tired of people complaining about them being able to be injured by humans, its annoying.

Seeing the Transformers get hurt by humans made the movie more realistic....I like it that way!

Of course they'll upgrade. They'll want to sell more merchandise to obese kids who lag behind the rest of the world in basic education.

I'm sure they will come up with something for the sequel, there has to be one of those scenes where the military is like " we got this" and their shots don't hurt the decepticons and everyone is like " oh crap".

and by the way, not to be anal or anything, but they aren't called "sable" rounds... its "SABOT", the T is silent. just FYI :woot:

I thought it made it unrealistic. It was done for purely "feel good" reasons-- "our military can tackle anything guys! Stay the course!" It's pompous... and it's the same mistake done with the reimagining of Godzilla.

I think what took away from the final battle is the humans, well the army. They could have left the Autobots in charge of combat versus the Decepticons and have the military secure the city, as in rescue the people instead of leaving them there and showing off the AMAZING US ARMY knows best...:o

I kind of liked the whole army help thing. See the autobots cooperating with the army was kind of cool and rather unique. (I haven't seen too many movies where the army cooperates with aliens to take down something else). I liked the fact that they could do something to help the autobots. Duhamel and Tyrese's characters were cool. They still had to do a lot to take the Decepticons out. It took fighter jet missiles, grenade launchers, and the autobots to take down each Decepticon.

All good opinions. I can understand the need for the army hurting the Decepticons but it just sort of hurt the scary factor with them. They aren't as scary now to the Humans because we know we can hurt them. I do believe they will upgrade there armor and such so our weapons don't have such an effect on them. Our weapons coming from technology from Megatron does make alot of sense. Hopefully in the new movie they won't be harmed as much as they were in the first.

One of the main plot in the movie is the technology that was gained from studying Megatron in frozen state. In the movie, that's how we got fast cars, boom box, cell phones and etc. I guess that explains how the transformers have engines, brakes, muffler and everything else we see inside of cars. If the humans can create technology by studying a Transformer then it only makes sense that we have technology that can kill them. The only trick is finding what works. Transformers are advanced, but they are millions of years old. They've been in a war for millions of years. Their home planet is in ruins and they haven't evolved their technology because they are busy fighting.
